Overview of Temporary Override Keys<br />

Temporary override keys are used to temporarily turn on or off drafting<br />

settings. For example, holding down the Shift key toggles the current setting<br />

of Ortho mode. The following table shows the Object Snap Override: Endpoint<br />

temporary override key properties as they appear in the Properties pane.<br />

The creation of a temporary override key does not start with a command from<br />

the Commands List pane like a shortcut key does. Instead, you create a new<br />

temporary override key like you do a toolbar or ribbon panel, and that is by<br />

right-clicking over the Temporary Override Keys node and clicking New<br />

Temporary Override Key. Once a temporary override key is created you use<br />

the Properties pane to define its key up and key down behavior, and assign it<br />

a key combination.<br />

The following table shows the properties of the Object Snap Override :<br />

the keystroke combination is released by the user.<br />

If left blank, AutoCAD LT restores any variables to<br />

their previous state.<br />
