Industrial production processes often lead to pollution, e.g.
coolants, plasticisers, welding smoke, oil mist, or tars which pollute
ambient air and easily disperse all over the entire production
facility. In this connection, the electrostatic separater SMOG-HOG ®
is a perfect solution - no matter whether as stand-alone solution,
central exhaustion, or installed in the duct of a ventilation system.
Those deposits strain both, the health of your personnel as well as
the machines used and the quality of your products. Particularly
below a diameter of 2.5 µm, the protective mechanisms of human
respiratory tracts are not able to separate those particles which in
case of toxic substances may rapidly cause chronic diseases of the
respiratory path or cardiovascular system of your personnel. Notes
of illness and temporary production downtimes or even a lasting
loss of know-how may be the consequences.

Over 30 years of continuous further development
have been the basis for a sophisticated system
that guarantees clean air as important production
factor.
The electrostatic separater SMOG-HOG ® is
advantageous over mechanical oil mist separaters
since lifetime maintenance and energy costs are
considerably lower.
The collector plates where impurities deposit can be
cleaned and used again. We would be glad to take
over this service in our modern ultrasonic facility.
It goes without saying that we will dispose of the
harmful substances in an ecology-minded way.

The high separating performance of 96 - 99% is realized
through a simple, however, far more efficient layout. A
ventilating fan, that is cushioned against vibration, sucks
in the polluted air which then is guided through a prefilter
(5) providing for separation of larger pollutant particles
and for even distribution of the air flow.
Downstream of this, the so-called ioniser (6) is located
designed for continuous positive charging of the remaining
fine particles in fractions of a second by means of ionised
air molecules.
Actual purification of air is carried out by the collector
(7). It is composed of several upright plates - one next to
another - parallel with the flow of pollutants.

Inside of the collector, the positively charged pollutant
particles are deflected in an induced electric field toward
the grounded plate. The upright installation of the plates
ensures excellent discharge behaviour for the separated
harmful substances can easily run off through a syphon.
SMOG-HOG ® can also be designed as multi-stage system
(double-stage or three-stage) to handle highly-loaded
exhaust airflows. This guarantees clean results even for
very high pollutant loads.
The design of the steel housing is flexible and easy to
maintain. SMOG-HOG ® electrostatic air filters are available
for volume flows of up to 56,000 m³/h.

components. The filter configuration depends on your individual requirements such as airflow,
pollutant load, direction of air, and the fan pressure resulting there from.
