the different approach, the more refined tuning, or<br />

the next STEVENS. With unbridled passion, for the<br />

QUALITY UNDER CONTROL. Two properties of<br />
STEVENS bikes are famous: they are very, very<br />
lightweight. And they are extremely durable. Let us<br />
tell you a secret: This succeeds because we check,<br />
check and recheck everything we develop. Not only<br />
during the testing stage, when our engineers give it<br />
the final touches. But also after that, during serial<br />

Ing. (Certified Engineer) Dr. Dirk Zedler is a publicly<br />
<strong>com</strong>missioned expert under oath for bicycles<br />
(Chamber of Industry and Commerce Stuttgart)<br />
and has been a highly reputable consultant on bicycles<br />
for more than 20 years. Through his help,<br />
we know exactly what we use for our bicycles:<br />
frames, no matter if they're aluminium or carbon,<br />
saddle posts, running wheels... we had it tested, in<br />
the same <strong>com</strong>binations that we build. Because of<br />
this, too, our bikes can be so lightweight and at the<br />
same time so durable.<br />

HARMONY IN COMBINATION. Finally, the ideal partner for the<br />
high-torque Bosch drive has been found – because with the NuVinci<br />
Harmony the name really does describe its function. The rider simply<br />
has to choose what pedalling rhythm he wishes to add to his pedal<br />
power using the twist grip. The two electronic partners sort the rest<br />
out by themselves.<br />
FULLY UNDER CONTROL. The forged dropout also acts as a chain<br />
tensioner and a highly precise mount for the disc brake calliper. That<br />
makes sense because the <strong>com</strong>bined motive power of rider and<br />
e-motor can hardly be curbed without well-dosed braking power.<br />
FULL SPEED AHEAD. Frames with low crossbar<br />
often have stability issues when driving. By contrast<br />
STEVENS riders can trust the mighty aluminium frame<br />
with tapered head tube crafted by our engineers<br />
100 %.<br />
INFINITE GEAR CHANGE. As an alternative to the<br />
fully automated transmission option, the NuVinci gear<br />
hub can also be adjusted to suit the riding situation<br />

the rear chain stays of the Agnello provide sufficient<br />

Lithium-Ion Powerhouse by Bosch off ers a lush<br />

ARE PEDELECS TECHNOLOGICALLY MATURE?<br />
High-quality brand Pedelecs are. But there are also<br />
less efficient and even inadequate ones on the market.<br />
STEVENS banks on the BOSCH drive, which is one of<br />
the market leaders, or perhaps even the best in the world.<br />
IS SPECIAL HANDLING REQUIRED FOR A STE-<br />
VENS PEDELEC? No. Get on. Drive. Enjoy. You can<br />
increase or decrease the pedalling support with a button<br />
on the handlebar display – on the go. The display<br />
shows you the battery charge and the current support<br />
level among the usual values like speed and mileage.<br />

PEDALLING SUPPORT? Of course. Should the<br />
battery go flat before you arrive at your destina-<br />
tion, you simply drive a bike that is slightly heavier<br />
FAQ<br />
than usual.<br />
HOW LONG DO THE BATTERIES LAST? Modern<br />
Lithium-Ion batteries can – if maintained properly –<br />
be charged to capacity approximately 500 times. After<br />
that, the battery remains operational – only its performance<br />
decreases. De<strong>com</strong>missioned batteries can<br />
be submitted to your STEVENS dealer for recycling.<br />
IS SPECIAL MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?<br />
Maintenance is no more demanding than for any other<br />
bike. It makes sense to have your STEVENS dealer do<br />
an inspection once a year. Please mind the instructions<br />
for optimal charging and storing the battery.<br />
WHAT MUST BE OBSERVED IN WINTER? Protect<br />
the battery from frost, store it between 15° and<br />
20° C. If the battery is not in use, it will nonetheless<br />
discharge slowly. Recharge it every two to three<br />
months during longer pauses. This way, you avoid<br />
deep discharge.
