On the DC440/432 the power switch is located on the top of the printer on the right hand side. � Locate the ON / OFF switch. � Switch to I to turn the machine on. Powering Off When powering off the DC420, the machine remains on for approximately 10 seconds before the power is terminated. The machine is storing files and preparing for the shutdown. During this time, the message Powering off Please wait... is shown on the touch screen. When powering off the DC440/432, the message Powering off Please wait will not appear on the touch screen. However, the machine remains on for approximately 10 seconds before the power is terminated. The machine is storing files and preparing for the shutdown. CAUTION: Failure to leave at least 20 seconds between repeated power off /on can result in damage to the DC440/ 432/420 hard drive. NOTE: If the Printer option is installed and the power is turned off, the DC440/432/420 will remain on for approximately 15 seconds before the power is terminated.
