• It does give us opportunity to reach top producing retailers<br />

• Southwest Airlines Vacations also attend, and they promoted FL heavily<br />

• Dall<strong>as</strong>--very good reaction from agents<br />

• Houston--had lots of comments<br />

about hurricanes-due, no doubt, to their own scare and the amount of Katrina victims still housed there<br />

• San Antonio--good response--most sell Orlando so looked to us for two-center holiday<br />

• Austin--not <strong>as</strong> much interest from there<br />

• Also had lunch meeting<br />

with Southwest Airlines Promotions Manager to follow up earlier discussions. <strong>The</strong>y will look for opportunities in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia<br />

for late summer to work with us<br />

• Made calls on AAA offices in San Antonio and Austin--both welcomed material<br />

• Had tour of Travelocity Res Center in San Antonio. We will return in June for FL training days. <strong>The</strong>y employ about 400 agents<br />

• Did Res training at Southwest Airlines call center in San Antonio--400 agents<br />

• Many AAA , Liberty Travel, and Carlson Wagonlit offices<br />

were represented<br />

• Function consisted of a formal power point<br />

presentation and a dinner. At the conclusion of the event a grand<br />

prize w<strong>as</strong> given away which included a 2-night stay at the<br />

Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort and 4 Busch Gardens<br />

tickets. • Most agents<br />

reported overall business for January and February w<strong>as</strong> slow compared to l<strong>as</strong>t year. However,<br />

phones are now starting to ring for l<strong>as</strong>t minute spring - E<strong>as</strong>ter vacations. Hotel availability<br />

not an issue<br />

but flights are very expensive which is keeping some people away.<br />

• Agents reported a pick up in Florida beach bookings after the recent cruise ship fire w<strong>as</strong> heavily reported<br />

in the media.<br />

• Majority of agents know our destination and had only positive comments about our area<br />
