the time (in seconds) that the<br />

gateway waits for a<br />

receiver before timing out.<br />

The default is 600.<br />

Gate.<strong>SNMP</strong>.Trap integer -snmptrap integer<br />

Note: This property is only<br />

used when the<br />

Gate.<strong>SNMP</strong>.Protocol property<br />

is set to TCP.<br />

Use this property to specify<br />

the trap type value of the<br />

generic trap field in<br />

forwarded <strong>SNMP</strong> traps.<br />

The default is 6.<br />

Note: This property can also<br />

be defined as @Severity to<br />

forward the value of the<br />

Severity column in the<br />

alerts.status table.<br />

Map definition file<br />

The map definition file defines how the gateway maps data received from the<br />

<strong>SNMP</strong> writer to the Status, Journal, and Details tables within the ObjectServer.<br />

The default map definition file is $OMNIHOME/gates/snmp/snmp.map.<br />
