Repeats the last single character find command,<br />

r, F, t, or T.<br />

Reverses the last single character find command.<br />

0 Cursor to start of line.<br />

Cursor to first non-blank character in line.<br />

Search Edit Commands<br />

These commands access your command history.<br />

[count]k Fetch previous command. Each time k is<br />

entered the previous command back in time is<br />

accessed.<br />

[count]­<br />

[ count]j<br />

Equivalent to k.<br />

Fetch next command. Each time j is entered<br />

the next command forward in time is accessed.<br />

[count]+ Equivalent to j .<br />

[count]G The command number count is fetched. The<br />

default is the least recent history command.<br />

I string Search backward through history for a previous<br />

command containing string . String is terminated<br />

by a "RETURN" or "NEW LINE". -�<br />

If string is null the previous string will be<br />

used.<br />

? string Same as I except that search will be in the forward<br />

direction.<br />

n Search for next match of the last pattern to I<br />

or ? commands.<br />

N Search for next match of the last pattern to I<br />

or ?, but in reverse direction.<br />

I Search history for the string entered by the<br />

previous I command.<br />

Text Modification Edit Commands<br />

These commands will modify the line.<br />

a Enter input mode and enter text after the<br />

current character.<br />

A Append text to the end of the line. Equivalent<br />

to $a.<br />

[count ]emotion<br />

c[ count] motion<br />

Delete current character through the character<br />

motion moves the cursor to and enter input<br />

mode. If motion is c, the entire line will be<br />

deleted and input mode entered.<br />
