DESCRIPTION<br />

Async_main is used to communicate with a host computer using<br />

vt100 or b513 escape and control sequences and to edit communication<br />

profiles. Async_main may be used with any of ports<br />

ldevlttyOOO or ldevlphx, where xis 0 or 1, to communicate<br />

with a host.<br />

Use the first form above to edit (e) a profile. Profile must contain<br />

the full path name of the file to be edited. The profile suffix for<br />

ldevlttyOOO is tA.2 and for ldevlphx the suffix is tAm.<br />

To run async_main via ldevlttyOOO, use the second form above.<br />

Again, profile must contain the full path name of the file to be<br />

used in the run ( r) session.<br />

To run async_main via ldevlphO or ldevlphl, use the third<br />

form above. Phfd is the phone file descriptor. The calling process<br />

must first open the device file via open(2) and pass the phone file<br />

descriptor to async_main . Pid is the process ID of the calling process.<br />
