Sample Test Script<br />

This test script assumes that the attached terminal is an AT&T 5620 .. � '<br />

DMD. If you are using another "windowing" terminal, consult the<br />

terminal manual for window creation information.<br />

From the UNIX shell prompt:<br />

1. Type "ismpx". The message "no" should appear on the screen<br />

and the command should have a return value of "1". Use "echo $?"<br />

to verify return value.<br />

2. Type "jwin". The message "jwin: not mpx" should appear on<br />

the screen.<br />

3. Type "jterm". The message "jterm: Must be invoked with stderr<br />

attached to an xt channel." should appear on the screen.<br />

4. Type "layers -t". The screen should clear, then go to a green<br />

tone. A mouse pointer will appear on the screen. Create a window<br />

as follows:<br />

• Press the third button on the mouse. A menu will appear on the . �"l<br />

screen.<br />

• Highlight "new" and release the button.<br />

• Reclick the third button, and expand image to desired window<br />

size.<br />

• Release the button. A window should form with a shell prompt<br />

in the upper left comer of the window.<br />

5. Now type "ismpx" once again. The message "yes" should<br />

appear on the screen, and the return value should be "0".<br />

6. Type "jwin". The result should be two lines like the following:<br />

bytes: 57 37<br />

bits: 526 604<br />

7. Type "jterm". The window should clear and the cursor should<br />

move back to the upper left comer. l<br />

8. Type "xts". The date should appear followed by five lines of<br />

statistics.<br />
