GOAL 1: Increase retention of all first-time Fall 2002 students from 58.7 percent to 59.7 percent.
KEY STRATEGY M: Establish a multi-dimensional Early Alert system.
Description/Explanation: This strategy relates to Goal 1 Strategy J and Goal 2 Strategies B and E.

Submit a timeline to Dr. Brumfield regarding FRYS and Early
Alert
Submit a request to Dr. Dale Welch requesting the FRYS
committee’s approval to offer the Noel-Levitz College Student
Inventory – Form B as part of the FRYS course.
Review previous Early Alert Committee information with Ilana
Wahlder, Chair of the Early Alert Committee
Re-Establish the Early Alert Committee – Suggestions include
Dr. Eric Pani, Rosalyn Pogue, Pamela Jackson (or Mindy
Hollan), Dr. Wilson Campbell, Robert Flowers, Dr. John
Rettenmeyer (Business), representatives from Arts & Science,
Education, and Health Sciences, Ilana Wahlder, Cynthia
Bratton, and the Dir. Of Retention.
Review and revise the Early Alert Component of the proposed
advising plan
Provide available information and requests to the group working
on Goal 2 Strategy B
