of these deadlines since admission to graduate programs is a lengthy
process, and some programs have earlier application deadlines.
Group hospitalization insurance is mandatory for all international students.
Enrollment in the student group hospitalization insurance program is
mandatory at time of registration unless proof of comparable coverage by a
government sponsored agency is provided. Proof of comparable coverage
will be determined by the Director of Student Life.

XV. STUDENT HEALTH CENTER SERVICES POLICY
The Student Health Center provides emergency health care, consultation and
referral as an out-patient clinic for FULL TIME STUDENTS. The cost of
these services is included in the student activity fees. Limited Student
Health Center facilities also serve students whose illnesses do not require
specialized care. Routine medical care is provided without charge, but items
of major medial care, including major and minor surgery, fractures,
specialized treatment, x-rays, and continued medication, are the
responsibility of the students and their families. The Student Health Center
DOES NOT provide service to the faculty, staff, or families of students. The
Student Health Canter is a primary health care facility and DOES NOT
provide after care (secondary health care) pursuant to injuries or illnesses.
The University Physician may make referrals to local physicians for these
needs, but they are the responsibilities of the students and their families.
The Student Health center is staffed by full time professional nurses. The
University Physician maintains specified office hours and is on call for
emergencies. The call must be made by an administrative officer of the
University or the nurse on duty at the Student Health Center when the
emergency arises.
Presently, the Student Health Center is open from 7 a.m-7p.m. Monday
through Friday. The Student Health Center is closed on weekends and in
University holidays that include staff. The Physician’s office hours in the
fall and spring semesters are presently Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. Physician’s hours are posted at
the Student Health Center each semester.
