or wish to take.

IX. Career Services
The primary purpose of the Office of Career Services is to provide students
with career planning consultation, assessment and advisement, opportunities
to participate in Career and Interview Days on campus, interviews with
potential employers, and assistance in determining appropriate career
choices.
The Office of Career Services, located in Harris Hall North, offers a
comprehensive program to assist students in making the transition from the
academic world to the world of work. For more information or answers to
questions concerning career services and testing at ULM, you may call 318-
342-5338 for Career Services.
The University of Louisiana at Monroe graduating seniors, graduate students
and alumni are entitled to the free services of the Department of Career
Services. Students should register at the beginning of their last year of
college by establishing a credentials folder. Establishing a folder will enable
the registrant to participate in on-campus recruiting activities and to utilize
the various services of the department.
A permanent credentials file containing a transcript of grades and personal
data is maintained on each registrant. This folder can be mailed to
prospective employers at the request of the student or the prospective
employer. (The Department of Career Services and Testing Center reserves
the right to limit the number of folders mailed for each student.)
Although the University can provide academic instruction appropriate for
many educational and career objectives, ultimately the student is responsible
for obtaining employment. Neither faculty members teaching classes,
faculty advisers, Career Services personnel, Counseling Center counselors,
nor other University personnel assisting students can assume responsibility
