GOAL 8: Increase the retention of Fall 2002 non-traditional students by 1 percent.
KEY STRATEGY D: Institute a “Return to Learn” orientation program.

Design a nontraditional orientation program on a Saturday. This
orientation should include a survey of non-traditional students
preferences for course offerings, services, and needs relating to
their role as a ULM student.
Partner with Family & Consumer Sciences to offer childcare
during the orientation
Gain approval from Dept. Heads, Deans, and Registrar to block
courses for nontraditional students.
Reserve course availability for FRYS, Math, English for a core
of incoming nontraditional students (090, 093, 101, 111; 3
sections with 10 seats).
