v) Problems being encountered in the implementation of the projects with<br />

proposals <strong>for</strong> remedial measures.<br />

Quarterly progress is obtained on PMES-II pro<strong>for</strong>ma from executing agency.<br />

(c) Monitoring Teams:<br />

Multi-disciplinary monitoring teams, comprising the representatives of the <strong>Planning</strong> and <strong>Development</strong><br />

Division (<strong>Projects</strong> Wing and concerned Technical Sections), Sponsoring/executing agency and Provincial<br />

Government (<strong>for</strong> provincial projects only) are deputed <strong>for</strong> undertaking site visits and also to focus<br />

specifically on the following:-<br />

i) Divergence between the PC-I workplan and the actual physical implementation;<br />

ii) Whether the physical output is commensurate with the financial outlay of the projects?<br />

iii) Status of <strong>for</strong>eign-aid utilization;<br />

iv) Availability of inputs other than finance;<br />

v) Unit rate analysis and assessment of project effects viz-a-viz output, employment, environ-mental etc;<br />

and<br />

vi) Source of the recurring cost and maintenance liability on completion of project.<br />

A check list <strong>for</strong> the guidance of the progress monitoring teams prepared by the <strong>Projects</strong> Wing of the<br />

<strong>Planning</strong> and <strong>Development</strong> Division is placed at Annexure XLIV.<br />
