3.4 Qualitative Information on NSA Sectoral Contributions
Pastoral and agro-pastoral development
• Participants include HH, OWDA (local), OXFAM GB, ICO, etc
• Project activities undertaken: Intervention projects that enhances pastoral production and
livestock development including
o Livestock disease, and the construction of vet clinics and the provision of
vaccination
o fodder seed supply and rangeland management;
o Small scale irrigation for horticulture crops
o Environmental protection/mitigation & community capacity building, micro
business & organization of groups to promote coop development.
