Unger und Klein —— The name Wien
(Vienna) comes from wein (wine) but
that is not the only reason to take a good
bottle of Austrian grape back home, or
to try it copiously beforehand. At Unger
and Klein one is even seated in the wine
rack (designed by Eichinger & Knechtl)
and can try 1,200 varieties of wine from
around the world. For a solid foundation
there are tasty titbits from the
kitchen.
CAFÉS
Café Prückel —— Out of the very many
cafés that Vienna offers, the Prückel
across the street from the MAK can be
considered a »must-go«. A preserved
’50s interior awaits you there. Wi-Fi for
the trendy art lovers, who frequently
visit the Prückel, and cheap business
menus for all. A popular place, always
full, a good way to be alone in the crowd.
