A hybrid, with simply pinnate fronds and a lamina the texture of
A.scolopendrium, which could be confused only with
A. x microdon. The latter however has a decrescent frond
whereas A. x jacksonii has the triangular frond-shape of

A distinct, hybrid likely to be confused only with
A. x alternifolium from which it differs in having longer
lowermost pinnae giving the fronds a triangular outline. It has
been found once in 1870 on Craig Dhu, Llanberis Pass, v.c. 49
(specimen in herb. K). (See J.D.Lovis in C .A .St ace (ed.),
