A northern-montane species of wet alpine ledges yet also<br />

characteristic of coastal sand-dune slacks in the west.<br />

E.wilsonii Newm., Originally described from Muckross, v.c.<br />

H2, hitherto regarded as this species needs further investigation<br />

as do sand-dune populations in Britain (see J.A.Crabbe,<br />

A.C.Jermy & G.A.Matthews, Proc. Bot. Soc. Brit. <strong>Isles</strong>, 6:<br />

40-42; 1965).<br />
