LOST AND FOUND<br />
The lost and found is located at <strong>the</strong><br />
11th ICRS Registration Desk in Hall<br />
A of <strong>the</strong> convention center.<br />
MESSAGE BOARD<br />
A message board is located in <strong>the</strong><br />
Hall A Lobby. Messages may be<br />
left <strong>for</strong> delegates by writing a message<br />
and posting it under <strong>the</strong> alphabetical<br />
holder corresponding to<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir last name. Emergency messages<br />
can be left by calling 954-<br />
765-5440 during registration hours.<br />
Messages that are not picked up by<br />
2:00PM on Friday, July 11 will be<br />
discarded.<br />
NAME BADGES<br />
Delegates are required to wear <strong>the</strong><br />
11th ICRS name badge at all times.<br />
In addition to being a means of<br />
identification, <strong>the</strong> name badge is<br />
required <strong>for</strong> admission to all scientific<br />
sessions, exhibits, poster sessions,<br />
and social functions.<br />
NO SMOKING POLICY<br />
Smoking is not permitted<br />
anywhere within <strong>the</strong> convention<br />
center.<br />
PARKING FEES<br />
Parking fees <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> Convention<br />
Center garage range from $3.00 (1<br />
hour) to a maximum of $15.00<br />
(12-24 hours). The Convention<br />
Center is connected via 2 glass enclosed<br />
skywalks from <strong>the</strong> parking<br />
garage. MasterCard, Visa, Discover,<br />
American Express, and Travelers<br />
Checks are accepted.<br />

INFORMATION!!<br />
The Fort Lauderdale Convention<br />
Center is located within <strong>the</strong> Port<br />
Everglades area which is designated<br />
a secured area by <strong>the</strong> United States<br />
Homeland Security Department.<br />
To gain admittance to <strong>the</strong> Convention<br />
Center, ei<strong>the</strong>r as a pedestrian,<br />
or as a passenger by bus or car, you<br />
must pass a security check-point<br />
maintained 24 hours a day by <strong>the</strong><br />
Broward County Sheriff’s Office.<br />
You will only be permitted on <strong>the</strong><br />
grounds of <strong>the</strong> Convention Center<br />
with an official government photo<br />
ID (driver’s license or passport).<br />
You should carry photo ID with you<br />
at all times. A conference name<br />
badge is not sufficient proof <strong>for</strong><br />
gaining admittance to <strong>the</strong> Convention<br />
Center complex area.<br />
PHOTOGRAPY<br />
CONTEST & DISPLAY<br />
Categories highlight <strong>the</strong> beauty, science,<br />
and perils facing <strong>the</strong> world’s<br />
coral reefs. Over 600 entries were<br />
judged by a panel professional<br />
photographers and marine scientists.<br />
Many of <strong>the</strong> entries are used in various<br />
locations throughout <strong>the</strong> convention<br />
center including <strong>the</strong><br />
registration desks and exhibit hall<br />
entrance. Be sure to see all <strong>the</strong><br />
winning photographs on display in<br />
<strong>the</strong> exhibit hall. Winners appear<br />
on page 53.<br />
POSTER SESSIONS<br />
Over 1230 scientific posters will be<br />
presented in <strong>the</strong> Exhibit Hall beginning<br />
Monday, July 7 through Friday,<br />
July 11. Posters will be on display<br />
daily and each author will have <strong>the</strong><br />
opportunity to present <strong>the</strong>ir poster<br />
at <strong>the</strong> designated times. (See <strong>the</strong><br />
daily schedules.)<br />
PROCEEDINGS<br />
In keeping with <strong>the</strong> environmental<br />
objectives of <strong>the</strong> 11th ICRS, registrants<br />
will have <strong>the</strong> option of receiving<br />
<strong>the</strong> 11th ICRS Proceedings<br />
in ei<strong>the</strong>r hardcopy or CD <strong>for</strong>mat.<br />
By choosing <strong>the</strong> CD option, attendees<br />
reduce <strong>the</strong> number of trees<br />
used, and reduce <strong>the</strong> overall symposium<br />
carbon footprint as <strong>the</strong> CDs<br />
are lighter to ship. All participants<br />
will be given a <strong>for</strong>m to make <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
selection at <strong>the</strong> 11th ICRS and will<br />
be given instructions on where to<br />
submit <strong>the</strong> <strong>for</strong>m.<br />
PROGRAM and<br />
ABSTRACT BOOKS<br />
Each registrant will receive one<br />
copy of <strong>the</strong> Program and one copy<br />
of <strong>the</strong> Abstract book (if a hard copy<br />
was requested on your registration).<br />

Book online at <strong>the</strong> Abstract<br />
Search located in Hall A.<br />
RECORDING<br />
Recording by any means (photographing,<br />
audio taping, videotaping)<br />
any presentations or sessions at<br />
any 11th ICRS Meeting is prohibited,<br />
except by an 11th ICRS-authorized<br />
agent <strong>for</strong> official purposes<br />
or by first authors who want to<br />
photograph <strong>the</strong>ir Poster Presentation.<br />
