Center exhibits in Hall A, during<br />

Our <strong>Reefs</strong>:<br />
Caribbean<br />
Connections<br />
Our <strong>Reefs</strong>: Caribbean Connections,<br />
a traveling exhibit, will<br />
<strong>for</strong>m <strong>the</strong> centerpiece of <strong>the</strong> Education<br />
Center display area.<br />
This is produced by Florida<br />
State <strong>University</strong>, updated from<br />
<strong>the</strong> Smithsonian Tropical Research<br />
Institute’s previous traveling<br />
exhibit by its original<br />
creators, Drs. Judith Lang and<br />
Janie Wulff. Veteran ICRS attendees<br />
will remember <strong>the</strong><br />
original exhibit which premiered<br />
at <strong>the</strong> 8th ICRS in<br />
1996. In stunning visual display,<br />
this exhibit explores<br />
major current challenges to regional<br />
reefs and showcases various<br />
local Caribbean responses.<br />
This special exhibit is open to<br />
<strong>the</strong> public in Hall A, during exhibit<br />
hours.<br />
FIELD TRIPS<br />
To make a reservation <strong>for</strong> a postmeeting<br />
field trip (space permitting),<br />
visit <strong>the</strong> registration desk<br />
located in Hall A <strong>for</strong> more details.<br />
FOOD & BEVERAGE<br />
SERVICES<br />
Lunch will be served from 12:00 –<br />
2:00PM. Full registrants receive<br />
one lunch ticket per day registered.<br />
The tickets may be used at any of<br />
<strong>the</strong> designated food stations located<br />
in first floor Hall A and Lobby<br />
A areas (map on pages 22 and 23).<br />
The lunch vouchers have a $10<br />
value and include lemonade or<br />
iced tea. Anything purchased<br />
above <strong>the</strong> $10 value will need to<br />
be paid by <strong>the</strong> attendee. Change<br />
will not be given <strong>for</strong> unused portion.<br />
There are two types of food stations:<br />

These offer hamburgers, hot dogs,<br />
chicken tenders and o<strong>the</strong>r madeto-order<br />
items. Menu items, including<br />
drink are $10 or less.<br />
Throughout <strong>the</strong> day, coffee and<br />
o<strong>the</strong>r pre-packaged items, including<br />
sandwiches, can be purchased<br />
at <strong>the</strong> concessions in <strong>the</strong> Lobby A<br />
area.<br />
INTERNET CAFÉ and<br />
WIRELESS<br />
Various internet options are available<br />
throughout <strong>the</strong> convention<br />
center with 3 wireless access areas<br />
and 2 internet cafés. Complementary<br />
wireless access areas are located<br />
on <strong>the</strong> 1st and 3rd floors of<br />
<strong>the</strong> convention center, specifically<br />
in Exhibit Hall B, 1st floor corridor<br />

Floridian Ballroom foyer. Internet<br />
Café computer stations are located<br />

Breezin’ Java food café. A laptop<br />
charging station is located in <strong>the</strong><br />
back of Hall B to allow you to work<br />
while recharging your laptop.<br />
Complimentary internet access is<br />
available in <strong>the</strong> Exhibit Hall from<br />
Monday, July 7 through Friday,<br />
July 11.<br />
Separate computer stations are set<br />
up <strong>for</strong> access to <strong>the</strong> electronic version<br />
of <strong>the</strong> Abstract Book. Please<br />
be mindful of <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r attendees<br />
and limit your computer time to 10<br />
minutes. You can always come<br />
back later if you need more time.<br />
ISRS BOOTH<br />
The International Society <strong>for</strong> Reef<br />
Studies will have a booth in Exhibit<br />
Hall A, booth #603.<br />
LITERATURE SHARING<br />
TABLE<br />
Non-profit organizations may utilize<br />
<strong>the</strong> Resource Sharing Area located<br />
in <strong>the</strong> Educational Center.<br />
Complimentary table space will be<br />
provided <strong>for</strong> a maximum <strong>for</strong> two<br />
items per organization of in<strong>for</strong>mational,<br />
educational, or outreach<br />
materials of interest to educators,<br />
students, and <strong>the</strong> general public.<br />
Materials not approved by <strong>the</strong> Education<br />
Center Committee (ECC)<br />
may be removed and disposed of<br />
without notice. For approval details,<br />
please visit <strong>the</strong> Meeting Management<br />
Office in Room 221.<br />
