5. Work 2nd tire iron around wheel until<br />
bead is completely demounted. (Photo<br />
2)<br />
• Use standing weight to help push<br />
bead into wheel well.<br />
6. Stand tire/wheel assembly up.<br />
• Break bead from second wheel<br />
flange.<br />
• Lubricate near tire bead and back<br />
flange area on wheel.<br />
• Pull top of wheel out of tire as far as<br />
possible. Use foot on bottom of<br />
wheel to hold in cocked position.<br />
Tire bead should be in wheel well.<br />
7. Force spoon of tire iron between bead<br />
and wheel flange. (Photo 3) Raise tire<br />
iron until it is straight up. Hold in position.<br />

8. Position 2nd tire iron 12” to right of<br />
first iron.(Photo 4) Force spoon under<br />
bead and over wheel flange.<br />
9. Rotate 2nd tire iron 90º. (Photo 5)<br />
Lift 2nd tire iron straight up.<br />
10. Hold 1st and 2nd tire irons in one hand<br />
so they form a triangle. Position 3rd tire<br />
iron 12” to left of first iron. Rotate 3rd<br />
tire iron 90º to wheel. (Photo 6) Lift<br />
3rd tire iron straight up.<br />
11. Once bead is over flange, finish demounting<br />
with one tire iron.
