Before performing any service on <strong>Off</strong>-<strong>The</strong>-<strong>Road</strong> tires,<br />
read and understand all safety precautions. Do not<br />
mount or demount tires without proper training.<br />
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS<br />
<strong>The</strong> following section of this Manual contains important safety information, including<br />
steps necessary to avoid accidents that may result in death, serious injury or property damage.<br />
Follow all procedures and safety instructions exactly. Wear proper personal protective<br />
equipment (PPE).<br />
PRECAUTION<br />
Before removing anyy rim or wheel compponent<br />
(i.e., nuts or rim cclamps):<br />
• Exhhausstt all airr frrom a single tire.<br />
• Exhhaustt all airr frrom botth tiress of a<br />
dual assemblly.<br />
Remove valve core compleetely. This will<br />
assure all air is exhausted from tire.<br />
• Remove both cores from dual asseemmbly.<br />
•• RRunn aa piecce of wwiire tthrrouggh stem<br />
ttoo be sure it’’s not plugged.<br />

REASON FOR PRECAUTION<br />
A broken rim part under pressure can blow<br />
apart and cause fatal injury. If you remove<br />
lugs while tire is under pressure, the assembly<br />
may fly apart.<br />
Foreign material may clog the valve stem<br />
during deflation.<br />
Ice may form as the air leaves the tire. This<br />
can clog the valve stem.<br />
Allways staannd clear during deflation. If the assembly bursts, the operator should<br />
be far away from the explosive force.<br />
Usse appproved eye protecction. Protect eyes from dust and dirt when exhausting<br />
air from tires.
