HEREFORD HEIFER CALVES
Note to all Junior Hereford Members: Last year as
a special feature in our female department we offered 20 of our
top heifer calves for sale. Along with this feature was a special
offer to all junior members. At no additional cost any Junior that
bought a heifer could leave their purchases at our farm where
they were fed, bred and fit for the Junior National show either
Bonanza or the NJHA Junior Expo. We were pleased to see 19
BW 88 lbs. Last year we were asked if we had a Polled Rambo hundreds of times,
well this year we have three and each of them is special. This is the biggest and
by far the most powerful. She will show at all levels today and again as a bred
yearling. She will be an outcross to almost any
polled pedigree as she is only ¼ polled and the
rest horned blood and yet she’s smooth polled.
Her mother is our most successful donor cow
with progeny around the world. Her dam is
our great Pearl cow. She is also a flush mate
to our Stoutline bull. This is a heifer that could
truly change your whole breeding program.
Powerful, yet feminine females are hard to find
and even harder to buy.
BW 86 lbs. This is the second polled Rambo and she is worth waiting for. I really
think this could bet the best heifer next summer. She is long spined and extra long
necked.. The muscle shape from behind is powerful. All the Rambo’s have great
feet and legs and this is no exception. They walk with such ease and flexibility.
17U’s dam is really cool. She’s a small framed 2 year old with tons of guts and
thickness. Of all the polled cows we’ve bought in the last 2 years this has to be
one of the best by far. She’s got a perfect udder and has raised one of the top
heifer calves out of a class of 150. They will be shown this fall.
22
females from our farm participate in this offer. Six of those
heifers were Division or Reserve Division champions.
This worked so well, we will once again extend this offer to our
juniors. Your only cost will be transportation to B.C. or Tulsa.
This group of heifers represents the best show prospects we’ve
raised. The selection is deeper than ever. None of the best are
being held back.
prospect. Her depth of body and over all mass is second to none. Her sire
is our new Fenton bull that is really breeding well and this is his best heifer.
In July she was named Reserve Grand Champion Heifer Calf
at the Junior National Show.
She should have a great future
on the show circuit, but we
take more pride in the future
cow prospect we’re selling.
sold to Star Lake for $25,000.00 for half interest last fall and
then was named Agribition Junior Champion. At Edmonton
she also won the honor of Reserve Grand Champion Female.
9U has the same style and hair as her mother and probably a
lot thicker. She should be dynamite this fall and next summer.
Look at these great numbers as well especially an REA of +.62
and marbling of +.1 with a birth of .7 and still 107. yearling.
This will be a breeding tool down the road. Her dam is our top
