LE MARS — With the 4th of July
holiday fast approaching, people have
been buying fireworks in anticipation
of having their own display.
The vendor tents are located at several
places in Le Mars.
While the state of Iowa allows the
sale of consumer fireworks from June
1 through July 8, the city of Le Mars
has limits on when and where those
fireworks can be discharged.
According to the Le Mars City Code
may occur in July from July 3
AKRON — Akron is no stranger to
flooding, but each time it occurs volunteers
come out of the woodwork to help.
The Big Sioux River crested at 27.34
by the Akron Fire and Rescue department
started sandbagging last Friday
in preparation for the water to start
affected many businesses. The Broken
front door to back door.
Owner Tony Heisterkamp said it
