proevents IHA A total of 1,500 professionals from The spectacular over 30 countries gathered in Lisbon for the grand night of the international hairdressing industry, mar- 2024 International king the 6th year of the International Hairdressing Hairdressing Awards. Over the years, this event has become the global benchmark for hairdressing. Awards gala took The event united the world’s top place in Lisbon, 2024 hairdressers in Lisbon. After five successful editions in Spain, the Portugal, where the event moved to Portugal for its sixth anniversary. The evening unfolded IHAwards were in grand style with a purple carpet (the hairdressing industry’s equivalent of a red carpet), a runway presented on stage. showcasing major hairdressing teams from around the world, and a glamorous awards ceremony. The best in global hairdressing The 2024 IHA winners received a well-deserved standing ovation at the Lisbon Congress Center. MEET THE IHA 2024 WINNERS Australian hairdresser Sharon Blain was honored with the International Hair Legend 2024 award for her more than fifty-year career as a stylist and trainer. Ken Paves received the International Hair Influencer of the Year award for his philanthropic efforts beyond hairdressing. British hairdresser Sam Elliot won the Best International Men’s Commercial Collection category, while Spanish hairdressers Carlos Valiente and Bernat Sayol secured the Best International Women’s Commercial Collection. In the Best International Avant-Garde Collection category, British hairdresser Efi Davies emer- E90
ged victorious. The Toni&Guy Artistic Team was named the International Artistic Team of the Year, and British Cos Sakkas clinched the title of International Hairdresser of the Year for the third consecutive year. The International Film & TV Hairdresser of the Year award was presented to Ivana Primorac, Marie Larkin, and Clare Corsick for their work on the movie ‘Barbie’. The awards ceremony featured a runway led by some of the world’s most outstanding hairdressing teams, including the Mark Leeson Art Team (UK), Toni&Guy Artistic Team (UK), Emmanuel Esteban (France), Fabio Ziccardi (Italy), Errol Douglas MBE (UK), and Jorge X and Janos Deri (Spain/Germany). The IHAwards are supported by Revlon Professional as the main sponsor.
