An old-fashioned
celebration
Norm Tarr, owner of Wenham Country Club, racked his brain trying to
think of a fun, unique way to celebrate the beloved golf course’s 125 anniversary.
WCC sits on what was once Tarr’s Pasture and Norm has shepherded WCC for
the past 43 years.
Out of the blue, he had an idea. Wenham would host a throwback
tournament, where members would have the opportunity to play several holes
with vintage equipment. Players were encouraged to wear classic golf clothing
like knickers and petticoats.
Tarr rounded up woods and irons from the early 1900s (wooden heads and
hickory shafts), the 1930s (the emergence of specialty clubs… some golfers
would carry 20-30 clubs in their bag) and the 1970s (steel shafts and the
innovative Ping Putter). He contacted a golf ball manufacturer in Oklahoma
who makes replica gutta-percha balls like those used at the turn of the 20th
century and bought a bunch.
This trip back in time took place on July 4, and 54 Wenham members teed it
up. All participants said they had a riotous good time. Check out the story and
photos on page 8.
There’s a lot to celebrate in this Summer edition of North Shore Golf!
We write about Rowley Country Club’s ambitious expansion plans and its
owner’s commitment to do right by the town, its environment and its business
community. Tedesco CC’s 1st Assistant PGA professional Ron Coiro set a
course record at the Marblehead club, shooting 63 on June 13. We take you on
a tour of the brand new clubhouse at King Rail Reserve in Lynnfield, which is
earning rave reviews. And Kernwood CC hosted a group of injured US veterans.
Our columnist Bob Green wonders whether the PGA and its rival can LIV
together. Our photographers caught all the action when Cape Ann GC hosted
the Mass. Junior Golf Qualifier and Winthrop CC faced Kelley Greens in the
second annual War on the Shore.
And the North Shore Golf Notebook is jam-packed, including news that
something is finally happening at the former Middleton GC.
Enjoy! See you on the course.
on Coiro, the 1st assistant
R
PGA golf professional at
Tedesco CC, set a noncompetitive
course record
on June 13 at the Marblehead club,
shooting a career low 63.
Playing from the blue tees (6198
yards), Coiro played what was described
as a near-flawless round, hitting all but
one fairway and reaching all 18 greens
in regulation. His bogey-free round was
highlighted by birdies on holes 1, 4, 6,
8, 12, 15 and, with the course record
in sight, 18. Coiro hit his second shot
on the 425-yard par-4 18th to 3 feet
from the pin before sinking the putt
for his 7th birdie. Coiro’s magnificent
achievement – a 63! – was witnessed by
playing partners Mike Rockett, Rick
Rockett and Twi-League Captain Terry
Rousseau who all validated the score.
The competitive record of 64 at
Tedesco was shot by Wollaston GC head
PGA professional Jeff Martin during the
NEPGA Assistants Championship in
2009. Salem native and Mass Amateur
champion Steven DiLisio shot a noncompetitive
64 from the black tees (6454
yards). Coincidentally Martin, DiLisio
and Coiro all shot 30 on the front nine;
it was Coiro's 33 on the back 9 that
bested Martin’s and DiLisio's 34.
Coiro joined the Tedesco staff in 2022.
The Marblehead resident also works at
Palm Beach CC winters. The Arlington
Catholic High School grad studied
professional golf management at Coastal
Carolina University
Coiro gained a bit of notoriety
when he caddied for Tom Watson
during the 2017 USGA Senior Open
Championship at Salem CC. He was
employed as an assistant pro at Salem
CC at the time.

SUMMER 2024 | 7
Rowley CC’s expansion
plans are moving forward
By BILL BROTHERTON
Rowley Country Club celebrates its 60th anniversary next
year and Ted Speros, whose ownership group purchased
the golf club and neighboring land in October 2022, has
ambitious plans for the property.
But he is taking things slowly. He and his team have
been working with the town, seeking feedback from neighbors, building
relationships and providing opportunities for local businesses to be part of
this huge project.
“We’re approaching Rowley Country Club’s 60th year with real
excitement about
what’s to come. We
see a transformed
course that is at the
heart of a vibrant,
active, residential and
recreational community
with benefits for
everyone in Rowley,”
said Speros, president
of Belmont-based ATS
Realty Corp.
The site master
plan focuses on four
themes: Work (small
businesses – restaurants,
catering, winery,
brewery, distillery – and
community gardens),
Live (senior-focused
townhouses, age in
place/assisted living/
community building),
Play (golf course
expansion, pickleball,
athletic fields,
walking trails) and
Celebrate (Back Nine
Tavern, function hall,
weddings/gatherings,
collaborations with local
businesses).
Rowley Country
Club General Manager
Darin Chin-Aleong
Master Plan Theme: Work
Master Plan Theme: PLAY
said some changes are already noticeable. There are three new big-screen
TVs on the patio, which is a great place to unwind after a round. The
renovated Back Nine Tavern now has a full liquor license and offers beers
on draft from the town’s Anonymous Brewing, which now calls the tavern
home. The tavern offers an expanded menu of affordable appetizers, salads,
sandwiches and plates Wednesdays-Sundays. A hot dog is $4. The most
expensive items on the menu are steak tips and chicken parm, both at $18.
Chin-Aleong and Speros both said the club is committed to fostering
partnerships with local businesses. In addition to the brewery, Mill River
Winery, from just up the street on Route 1, and Three Sweet Peas bakery
offer their goodies. Fresh produce and meats are provided by Herrick
Farm, which is within walking distance of the club’s parking lot.
As for the golf course expansion (potentially another 9 or 18 holes),
Speros has secured the services of International Golf Construction Inc.
“We have one of the premier golf course construction companies in the
Northeast leading the expansion and renovation of the course, which will
appreciate the beauty of Rowley and respect its environment,” said Speros.
International Golf is a preferred contractor for environmentally
sensitive and detail-oriented work. Its noteworthy achievements include
Widows Walk GC in Scituate and The Vineyard GC on Martha's
Vineyard: The Widows Walk project replicated and created wetlands,
introduced habitats and
Master Plan Theme: LIVE
Master Plan Theme: CELEBRATE
created new ecosystems.
The Vineyard GC
was located in the
watershed of a very
sensitive ecosystem and
only organic fertilizers
were allowed and most
chemical treatments are
prohibited.
International Golf
also constructed The
Captains GC in
Brewster and Farm
Neck GC on Martha’s
Vineyard. It is currently
completing the last
phase of one of the
largest recreational
facilities in southern
New England – Forges
Field Recreation
Facility and Crosswinds
Golf Club in Plymouth,
which includes 12
football, soccer, baseball
and softball fields and a
championship 27-hole
golf course.
Speros also has
teamed up with Edge
Sports Group, an
award-winning firm
that specializes in
navigating public/
private partnerships that involve year-round family-oriented athletic
venues. Edge’s first major project was Essex Sports Center in Middleton
back in 2016.
The goal is to secure all permitting in the next 6-12 months. Once
permits are in place, construction, including the golf course, would span
approximately an additional 12-18 months.
And that 60th anniversary celebration is on the calendar as well. Chin-
Aleong said Speros’ enthusiasm and vision has everyone excited about the
new Rowley CC. And he’s a wonderful boss.
“After our holiday fundraiser for the Rowley Food Pantry last year, Ted
dressed up as Santa Claus when we dropped off the donation,” said the
GM with a laugh.

Wenham CC celebrates
125 years
with journey-to-the-past tourney
By Bill Brotherton
W
enham CC
celebrated
its 125th
anniversary on
July 4, hosting a throwback
tournament where
participants played three of
the holes using period clubs
and specially-made gutta
percha golf balls made to play
like and look like those used
in the early 1900s.
Fifty-four members, many
dressed in vintage clothing
or patriotic outfits, competed
in the 18-hole shotgun-start
bramble-style event.
On hole #4, players teed
off using clubs from the
1970s. On hole #10, golfers
played the entire hole using
clubs from the early 1900s.
And on hole #13, players
used clubs from the 1930s.
The event got off to a
rousing start. In his first shot
of the day, David Horne got a
hole-in-one on the 115-yard
2nd hole using a gap wedge.
It was the 10th ace in the
Danvers resident's career. The
lefty carries a 6-handicap.
On the 10th hole,
Christina Metz used a 1900-
era “wedge” to blast out of a
sand trap. The ball ended up
just 6 inches from the pin.
Course owners Norm and
Sue Tarr were stationed on
the 10th tee, handing out
a gutta percha ball to each
player and explaining how
each classic club compared to
current clubs.
In an ironic twist during
this old-fashioned event, golf
carts were equipped with
brand new GPS devices.
On hole #4, golfers had to tee
off using clubs from the 1970s
during Wenham Country Club's
125th anniversary tournament.
Pat Frithsen, of Hamilton, tees
off on hole #4 with a wood
from the 1970s.

The approximately 32-by-40 foot space
includes a pro shop, indoor rest rooms and
a large open space to accommodate golfers
looking to relax after a round and maybe have
"The course is really getting a great name,"
he said. "This clubhouse will make it one of
the premier public courses in the region. The
quality and nature that is part of this course
and the amenities up the hill at MarketStreet
make it a great place, not only for the people
of Lynnfield but for the region. … We're
fortunate to be able to keep rates low for the
kids and seniors."
King Rail sits on the site of the former
Colonial Golf Course, a 103-acre property
that was purchased by National Development
in 2006 to build the MarketStreet Lynnfield
outdoor shopping center.
The developer donated the portion of the
course it did not use to the town. The town
reconfigured the layout, reconstructed three
holes, and added a new par-3 ninth hole to
create the existing course.
When the course opened in 2016, a
trailer was installed to serve as a temporary
clubhouse. In 2021, a larger trailer with
indoor bathrooms was installed. Previously,
the facility only had portable toilets.
Dolan said the cost of the clubhouse was
covered entirely from golf receipts. "Not a
single taxpayer dime that should go to police,
fire and schools was used in this project,"
Dolan said.
Dolan said outdoor patio furniture was on
the way and a liquor license would soon be
in place.
Select Board Chair Dick Dalton invited
everyone to enjoy the new building, golfers
and non-golfers alike. "I encourage everyone
to come and have a cool one on the patio,"
he said.
Dolan thanked the town's golf director,
Donnie Lyons, for his oversight of the
construction process.

SUMMER 2024 | 13
The new clubhouse area at King
Rail Reserve golf course features a
fenced off cart storage area.
Lyons expressed his gratitude to the
many town officials who have been
supportive and helped get the project "to
the finish line." He also thanked the staff
and customers.
During the grand-opening ceremony
a steady stream of golfers, many in
organized leagues, could be seen starting
or finishing their rounds. Dalton said
league play is the "foundation" of the
business.
"They're loyal customers who come
every week and that means a lot. That's
how we end up with the golf course
making the money, which we reinvest in
golf. Without the leagues, we would be
in trouble," Dolan said. “If we didn't have
that base of loyal support we wouldn't be
able to do this project and some of the
other capital projects we want to do on the
other side of town."
Crawford said the project took
approximately 11 years to complete. He
thanked National Development for its
donation from the proceeds it received
from the sale of land for the L.I.F.E.
housing at MarketStreet.
"They took that money and donated
it right back to the town, so we fix up
the course and build this clubhouse,"
Crawford said. "I think that we finally got
the clubhouse we've wanted and I know
we are all going to enjoy this for a very
long time."
Dalton said the clubhouse “is
something to be very proud of. I had Phil
make the comments because he's been
on this project from the very beginning.
He's been able to manage it and bring it
to fruition.” He also praised John Scenna
and John Tomasz for their management of
the project.
Robert “Bob” Gerard Roche
of Lynn and Peabody passed
away on June 12 at the Kaplan
Family Hospice House in
Danvers. He was 81.
Roche was an avid golfer, had been a PGA
pro for more than a decade, and was a valued
photographer for North Shore Golf, being an
active contributor when Essex Media Group
revived this magazine in 2016.
He was a familiar sight on the sidelines
of youth and school sporting events, both as
a coach and a photographer for several local
newspapers including the Daily Item of Lynn.
He retired after 36 years with the
USPS, 31 of those at the North Reading
Distribution and Processing Plant. Bob spent
his retirement traveling, playing golf and
gardening.
Roche was a prized friend to many. He
made an impact with his golf game, but more
of an impact as a person. He treated others
with respect and was always there to help
those in need. Lynn and the golf community
have lost an amazing person.
“I can’t say enough nice things about Mr.
Roche,” Gannon Municipal Golf Club PGA
professional David Sibley said. “I’ve been
here for 11 years and he was a staple here up
until the last year or so. He played during the
week and during the weekends. He played in
the events and he was one of the guys who
everyone knew. There aren’t many people

nicer than Bob Roche.”
Roche was a PGA pro for 12
years. He spent three of those
years as head pro at Wenham
Country Club. When he regained
amateur status, he joined Gannon,
and was always willing to help out
whenever there was an event or
he was playing with friends.
“I’ve known him the entire
time I was here. He was the type
of guy who always lent a helping
hand,” Sibley said.
Sibley said Roche mainly
played with his regular group on
Tuesdays. “His loss will be felt
here.”
Roche is survived by his wife
of 53 years Sharon, daughter
Meaghan Martel and her husband
Christopher, and son Patrick
Roche; in addition to many
in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins
and friends. He also leaves behind
Gus, an Old English Sheepdog
that he and his family rescued.
Gus was the family’s seventh dog
and fifth rescue.
Bob Roche of Lynn, right, congratulated Mike Sullivan of Newburyport after he beat Roche on the 18th hole to win the
2020 Senior Men's Club Championship at Gannon.
NOTEBOOK
SUMMER 2024 | 17
Join us to celebrate 125 years of
exciting golf on the North Shore
By BILL BROTHERTON
and ANNE MARIE TOBIN
A
groundbreaking ceremony was
held at the former Middleton Golf
Course on June 17, a little more
than five years after Special Town
Meeting voted to buy the course for 3.8
million. Two buildings will be constructed
on the site: The Middleton Public Safety
headquarters will house the town’s Police
and Fire departments and a new Town Hall/
Community Center will share the second
structure. The size of a Town Common will
be determined once the placement of the
buildings is finalized.
Trees and brush were removed in May and
the demolition of existing structures was to
take place in late June, just as North Shore
Golf magazine went to press. Foundation
work is to begin this summer and structural
steel is targeted to go up in late fall.
Project manager is PCA 360 of Needham.
Callen Cronin, 11, of Bradford CC,
finished 4th in the Boys 10-11 Division
at the Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals
competition at Augusta National GC during
Masters week. His dad, Devin, worked on
the Bradford grounds crew for several years
and Callen took many swings starting at age
2 using plastic clubs. He took lessons with
longtime head pro Kevin Murphy, who,
among many things, taught Cronin to “get
off my back foot” in his swing. It took several
years, but at age 9, he finally beat his father
head-to-head and broke 80 at the same time.
Once in a while, he’ll tee it up with former
Mass Golf Player of the Year Nick Maccario,
who in 2020 set Bradford’s course record with
a 56. Callen has an 8.5 handicap. He joined
Mass Golf ’s Youth on Course program to be
able to play more affordable golf at different
courses throughout the state. Looking ahead,
Callen already knows what he’d serve at his
Masters Champion Dinner when he wins the
prestigious tournament: Steak tips, French
fries and strawberry ice cream.
Longtime Beverly G&TC standout
Barbara Yozell got a hole-in-one on the sixth
hole of her home course on June 7. This was
Swampscott resident Yozell’s second hole-inone.
She aced the same hole on May 1, 2009.
“(Back then) I was 66 years old and used a 6
iron. Now I’m 81 and used a 3 wood. Still a
thrill? I called my son (Peter) immediately,
unbeknownst he called the club and bought
the bar, … a bigger thrill” that resulted in
free drinks for all in attendance.
More holes-in-one news: Aces have been
wild at Rowley CC in 2024. Michael Bain
got a hole-in-one on #2 (184 yards) with a 5
iron on June 2. Jack Vasapoli also got a 1 on
with Phil McGowan. He used a driver.
Kenny Rollins aced hole #7 (GPS reading
Kernwood hosts
injured US veterans
Some 26 injured
United States
veterans spent
three days –
June 18-20 – at
Kernwood CC
in Salem playing qualifying
rounds for The Simpson
Cup, an annual Ryder Cupstyle
tournament pitting
a team of 10 injured US
veterans against a team of
UK competitors.
The tournament is
organized by The On Course
Foundation, which started
in England in 2009 and
expanded to the United
States in 2013. Founded
by Sir John Simpson, the
foundation’s mission “is to
build confidence and selfbelief
in our members by
teaching them golf playing
and business skills, and
setting them on a path to
meaningful employment
opportunities in the golf
industry.“
This is the seventh year
that a qualifying tournament
for the Simpson Cup has
been held at Kernwood.
The event kicked off with
a practice round on June
18. Veterans were paired in
foursomes with Kernwood
members and sponsors. The
veterans played their balls in
preparation for qualifying;
others played a Bramble format (all team members tee off, then the
team selects the best drive; all members hit their second shot from the
chosen location. From this point on, each golfer plays his/her own ball,
stroke-play style, until it is holed). Winners were the team of Mark
Cohen, Ricky Cohen, Owen Picariello and Shawn Whitmore at 20
under par.
That night, Kernwood hosted a BBQ dinner for players and
other club and family members. Kernwood head PGA professional
Frank Dully welcomed all, and General David McKiernan, US
Army Retired, a Kernwood member and Board Director of The On
Nick Kimmel
Course Foundation, served
as tournament host and
addressed dinner guests.
McKiernan introduced every
veteran and told the story of
The On Course Foundation
and its ongoing commitment
to using golf as a platform
to recovery, camaraderie
and employment for many
injured, wounded and sick
veterans.
Attendees were most
moved, however, by speaker
Nick Kimmel, a retired
Marine Sergeant and
triple amputee. While in
Afghanistan, Nick fell
on a 40-pound IED and
miraculously survived but
lost both legs and one arm.
A talented athlete and golfer
in his youth, Nick felt he
had lost both his ability
and passion for the game
of golf with his injuries. An
outing with some friends
and a connection to The
On Course Foundation
reignited Nick’s passion for
the game, where he has been
able to rebuild his game
with veterans experiencing
similar journeys. Nick plays
to a low-teens handicap and
has won several Adaptive
Golf events. Nick’s words
moved the crowd and the
following auction raised
nearly $45,000.
June 19-20 were dedicated to two rounds of qualifying on the
par 70 Donald Ross Kernwood course. Using the Stableford scoring
method, each foursome of Veterans was accompanied by a Kernwood
member acting as forecaddie and rules resource. Despite smothering
heat, the veterans competed well and five competitors played well
enough to be chosen as members of the US team.
The Simpson Cup will be contested Oct. 6-9 at the legendary links
at Shinnecock Hill Golf Club on Long Island, NY. Both teams will be
looking to win the Cup, which needs a home after a halved match in
2023 at Royal Lytham and St. Anne’s in England.

Bradley
donates
collection
to Mass Golf
Pat Bradley, a Massachusetts native and
World Golf Hall of Fame inductee, has
donated her entire collection of trophies
and memorabilia to Mass Golf.
The collection includes her 1981 U.S.
Women’s Open sterling silver trophy, and all
will be displayed in the newly-created Pat
Bradley Room inside the William F. Connell
Golf House in Norton, Mass Golf ’s official
headquarters.
Bradley is the winningest female professional
golfer to hail from Massachusetts, with 31
LPGA Tour victories, including three of her six
majors in 1986 that capped off a career grand
slam.
“I am thrilled that Mass Golf has accepted
the donation of my trophies and memorabilia,”
Bradley, a Westford native said. “It brings
me great joy to know that my collection
will be proudly displayed at Golf House in
Massachusetts, a place I still call home.”
“It is absolutely fitting to dedicate an entire
space to Pat Bradley, a defining figure in golf
and one of the greatest players of all time,”
added Jesse Menachem, Mass Golf Executive
Director/CEO. “She is tremendously proud of
her Massachusetts roots, and we are delighted
that she has chosen to entrust us with her entire
collection and give it a forever home here in
Golf House.”
The collection includes trophies, awards,
medals, clubs, tapes and clothing. There are
several scrapbooks from her amateur career that
her father, Dick, proudly pieced together to
document his daughter’s achievements locally
and nationally.
Mass Golf has retained the services of
renowned sports estate and memorabilia
appraisal expert Leila Dunbar and author,
historian, and museum curator/consultant Rand
Jerris.
Dunbar has appraised collections for the
USGA Golf Museum as well as collections/
estates of Muhammad Ali, Arnold Palmer,
Bobby Orr and Hank Aaron. Jerris interned at
the USGA Golf Museum in 1988 and became
its librarian/historian in 1999. He then served
as director of the museum from 2002 to 2011.
Bradley, 73, had success in athletic endeavors
ranging from tennis to alpine skiing. But she
truly excelled at golf, winning the New England
Women’s Amateur in 1972 and 1973 and the
1972 Massachusetts Women’s Amateur. She
graduated from Florida International University
in 1974 and soon turned pro.
SHADES OF GREEN
Will PGA and rival LIV together?
June 5 marked the one-year anniversary
of the surprise announcement by
PGA. Tour Commissioner Jay
Monahan and Saudi People's Investment
Fund (PIF) headman Yasir
Al-Rumayyan that they had reached a
framework agreement between the Tour
and LIV golf.
So what’s happened since?
Although the agreement ended litigation
between the two parties that the Tour could
not financially afford, not much else that's
positive has happened. Two of the businessmen
on the PGA Tour Policy Board have
resigned: Jimmy Dunne and Mark Flaherty.
Dunne, was actively involved in creating
the framework agreement with Monahan.
Upon his exit, Dunne stated his position
on the Board had become superfluous.
Although Flaherty never gave a reason for
his resignation, I’m sure it was similar to
Dunne’s. It was clear that the Tour players
on the board had stopped listening to the
businessmen.
Players are incredibly skilled at playing
the game. But I can’t believe they’re the
most qualified bunch when it comes to
negotiating a billion-dollar business deal.
Yes, it’s their tour, and they deserve to have
a voice in what is negotiated. But they
shouldn’t be the loudest voice.
The framework agreement is the creation
of PGA Tour Enterprises, a for-profit entity
of the Tour. The PGA Tour Policy Board is
a non-profit entity.
One positive is the $3 billion investment
in the Tour by the Strategic Sports Group
(SSG), comprised of a number of sports
team owners and investors headed by John
Henry, principal owner of the Boston Red
Sox. SSG also owns the Liverpool Football
Club and the National Hockey League's
Pittsburgh Penguins.
Of their initial $1.5 billion investment,
$1 billion will be used to compensate current
and some past players, based on career
accomplishments, recent achievements,
cultural popularity and future participation
GREEN, continued from page 22
and services.
Translation: This is compensation for
players who, despite receiving offers to
jump to LIV, stayed with the PGA Tour.
Supposedly, Tiger will get $100 million,
Rory $50m, Justin Thomas and Jordan
Speith $30m, of equity in PGA Tour Enterprises.
Close to 200 players will receive a
bonus, with $750 million going to the top
36 players.
To receive that money, players must
stay loyal to the PGA Tour, with the funds
invested over the next 8 years. An additional
$100 million per year will be awarded to
players going forward.
Obviously, this is a huge reward for
pledging loyalty to the Tour, and goes a
long way to make players feel valued.
But there are roadblocks in the war
between the tours. A major one, if an
agreement is reached and the tours coexist,
do the players who jumped to LIV get the
green light to rejoin the PGA Tour?
A large number of Tour players are
adamant that those who jumped to LIV
should be assessed a penalty for leaving before
they are allowed back. Some question
whether they should even be allowed back.
Another roadblock: LIV is totally
committed to the team golf concept and it
doesn’t sound like they’re willing to move
forward without it.
I don’t know about you, but team golf
doesn’t get me very excited. I look forward
to the Ryder Cup every two years, as do
most golf fans in America and Europe,
and the huge TV ratings show that to be
true. The Presidents Cup isn’t on the same
popularity scale, maybe because it lacks the
Ryder Cup's history, but I still look forward
to watching.
Team golf on a regular basis, however,
does absolutely nothing for me.
The two sides met in person June 7 in
New York. How'd it go? “We’re making
progress,” was the answer. Despite Monahan's
post-meeting statement that the goal
is to “develop a shared vision for the future
of professional golf,” the fact remains LIV’s
long-range vision of professional golf and
the vision of the PGA Tour aren’t even in
the same ballpark. It’s going to take more
than a few months to reach a deal.
Negotiations, understandably, have
not been at all transparent. This is much
more complicated than a business merger.
Players on both sides have strong feelings.
The players who accepted LIV offers had
their PGA Tour memberships suspended
indefinitely. Some of the defecting players
trashed the Tour on their way out the door.
Jon Rahm probably thought signing with
LIV might expedite the peace. It has not.
Many believe it drove the two sides farther
apart.
I will be surprised if a final deal is
reached before 3-to-5 years.
I understand golf fans' (and TV networks)
desire to have all the best players
in the world competing every week. But at
what cost?
Is it worth compromising the historical
significance, meritocracy and legacy of the
PGA Tour?
I don’t think so!
