THIS YEAR’S SERIES IS GOING TO BE BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER!<br />

AND IT IS FREE AND OPEN TO ALL WHO ARE INTERESTED.<br />

The four-part schedule will take you back to the days before the internet to experience social and<br />

cultural history as it happened in the Iowa Great Lakes. Each program will feature five or more<br />

experts sharing a lively discussion about the various aspects of that night’s subject. And those in<br />

the audience will be invited ask questions, share their story or add their opinion.<br />

THURSDAY, JULY 11 • WHEN DINING OUT WAS AN EVENING OUT<br />

Included in the discussion group will be former restaurant owners, bartenders, kitchen and serving staff, and patrons.<br />

THURSDAY, JULY 25 • BIG BANDS, ROCK AND ROLL AND THE ROOF GARDEN<br />

Included in the discussion group will be past producers, musicians and fans.<br />

THURSDAY, AUGUST 22 • HOW THE IRON HORSE BROUGHT LIFE TO OKOBOJI<br />

It was the railroad that made our area a tourist attraction early on and set us apart from many other Iowa and<br />

Minnesota lakes. Hear all about it from train, resorts and local historians who know all the details.<br />
