Sea snakes
make finals
The Ashburton Celtic Sea Snakes have their
last home game for the season on Saturday. It
will also be the team’s Life Members/Ladies/
Sponsors Day.
The team will be playing Kaiapoi; kick off is
1pm. There will be plenty of rugby to see
following, as the Celtic Senior Men take on
Rakaia at 2.45pm, and the All Blacks match
7.05pm onwards will be televised in the club
rooms.
The Sea Snakes are inviting people along to
watch their game, and also the Mid Canterbury
women’s finals on July 27, where they will play
Rakaia/Methven combined.
The July 27 match will be at the A&P
showgrounds; kick off is 11am.
Team members said they had been busy
training, playing and enjoying themselves over
the last couple of months.
‘‘We have had amixture of results from our
games but after afew losses early on we came
back strong with awin against the Harlequins
and adraw against Southern, landing us aspot
in the Mid Canterbury Women's finals.’’
