Sea snakes<br />

make finals<br />

The <strong>Ashburton</strong> Celtic Sea Snakes have their<br />

last home game for the season on Saturday. It<br />

will also be the team’s Life Members/Ladies/<br />

Sponsors Day.<br />

The team will be playing Kaiapoi; kick off is<br />

1pm. There will be plenty of rugby to see<br />

following, as the Celtic Senior Men take on<br />

Rakaia at 2.45pm, and the All Blacks match<br />

7.05pm onwards will be televised in the club<br />

rooms.<br />

The Sea Snakes are inviting people along to<br />

watch their game, and also the Mid Canterbury<br />

women’s finals on <strong>July</strong> 27, where they will play<br />

Rakaia/Methven combined.<br />

The <strong>July</strong> 27 match will be at the A&P<br />

showgrounds; kick off is <strong>11</strong>am.<br />

Team members said they had been busy<br />

training, playing and enjoying themselves over<br />

the last couple of months.<br />

‘‘We have had amixture of results from our<br />

games but after afew losses early on we came<br />

back strong with awin against the Harlequins<br />

and adraw against Southern, landing us aspot<br />

in the Mid Canterbury Women's finals.’’
