MOHD AZMI BIN AMANSAH
At 53, Mohd Azmi Bin Amansah defies age expectations.
As a driver for Puan Sri Ivy Tan of Tropicana Corporation
Berhad, his true passion lies in triathlons. Starting with
the Perdana Putrajaya Malaysia Triathlon in 2017, Azmi
progressed to the 113 Series Olympic Distance Triathlon
in 2019 and the Kenangan Port Dickson Triathlon in
2020, where he achieved a personal best of 2 hours
and 58 minutes. He also completed a 2-kilometer open
water swim in 1 hour and 23 minutes.
Azmi prefers cycling, enjoys running, but finds
swimming the most challenging due to its technical
precision. Encouraged by a friend in 2017, he dreams
of competing in Ironman events. His rigorous training
includes cycling, running, swimming, and muscle-toning
workouts, supported by a balanced diet emphasising
proteins, carbohydrates, and hydration while avoiding
processed foods.
Balancing training with family life, Azmi credits his
success to his wife's support. He advises aspiring
athletes to be patient, consistent, seek guidance,
and enjoy the journey. Azmi's story shows that with
passion and dedication, extraordinary achievements are
possible at any age.
