If you are planning ahead for your weekend activities,
HERE’S WHERE WE THINK YOU SHOULD START.
THIS WEEKEND!
FLEA
MARKETS
Summer holidays
served up plenty of
fun in the Iowa Great
Lakes. And some
of that fun is
JULY
3-7
found in a trio
of flea markets
and antique
shows
that have
scheduled their
events around those
holidays for decades.
The Dickinson County
Fairgrounds, Treasure
Village and Vick’s Corner
all host markets
during the summer
holidays and are set for
another run around the
Fourth of July.
JULY 18-21
Hull Summerfest, Hull, IA 712-439-1513
LIVE AT THE LAKE
Preservation Plaza is turning
up the volume for the Fourth of July
weekend.
Starting with local favorite The Rolling
Stoners on Independence Day, there
will be free concerts on three consecutive
nights with a fourth show in the Roof
JULY
6-7
Garden to put a nice bow on the
holiday weekend. The Rolling Stoners
kicked things off at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, July 4.
The following night, 7:30 p.m. Friday,
July 5, will be the return of another familiar
act to the outdoor stage, The Trip.
Audience members may think they’re
going through a bit of déjà vu at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 6, when it’s time for the 90s
Rock Show to take the stage.
That’s because the lead singer does
double duty with The Trip — both groups
tend to travel together doing gigs across
the country.
I Am He Said: A Celebration of Neil
Diamond and is set for 7:30 p.m. Sunday,
July 7 in the Roof Garden Ballroom.
