A<br />
couple years after a memorable performance<br />
at the Pearson Lakes Art Center, it’s time for<br />
an encore from Gary Puckett & The Union<br />
Gap.<br />
While their previous trip involved a trio of bands<br />
and shorter sets, this time around the stage belongs<br />
solely to them.<br />
“That had a great show and this time around<br />
we’ll get to hear more of them,” said Rachelle Fratzke,<br />
performing arts director at the Pearson Lakes Art<br />
Center.<br />
That means the audience will get a full twohour<br />
show this time around, hearing the hits<br />
like “Young Girl,” “Woman Woman,” “Over You,”<br />
“Home,” and many others that made Gary Puckett<br />
& The Union Gap one of the most successful music<br />
groups of the 1960s.<br />
Audiences will get two chances to catch the show<br />
with performances scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday<br />
and Wednesday, July 9-10, in the Lauridsen<br />
Performing Arts Theatre at the art center.<br />
Tickets are $45 for art center members or $55 for<br />

nonmembers.<br />
It’s also a chance to see an original artist of the<br />
’60s still performing at the top of his game.<br />
“He’s one of the few still going from that era and<br />
singing under his own name,” Fratzke said. “You<br />
have so many bands that are still performing but<br />
there aren’t any original members still playing.<br />
Gary and his band are definitely world renowned<br />
artists with a lot of great music.”<br />
