BRASL ready to pedal around Big Spirit<br />
The largest natural lake in<br />
Iowa deserves a lap or two<br />
and the Bike Ride Around<br />
Spirit Lake is ready to deliver.<br />
BRASL is back for its annual<br />
trek along the shorelines of the<br />
lake with 15, 25, and 50-mile<br />
routes as options for those who<br />
sign up for the ride.<br />
The shortest ride is dubbed the<br />
“Bike Cruise” circling Spirit Lake.<br />
The lengthier options are<br />
called “Power Bikes” and include<br />
additional routes and detours.<br />
Registration costs between<br />
$35-$40 including commemorative<br />
ride shirts.<br />
Packet pickup is from 7-9 a.m.<br />
in downtown Spirit Lake with<br />
formal starts led by local law<br />
enforcement scheduled for 7:30<br />
a.m. and 9 a.m. F<br />
