Fred’s pumped to get
award for recent sales
Hospers business top seller
for water furnace company
HOSPERS—Fred’s Plumbing & Heating
Inc. of Hospers has received the Gold Sales
award from WaterFurnace International
Inc., the leading manufacturer of geothermal
and water source heat pumps.
Presenting the awards were WaterFurnace
president and CEO John Thomas,
vice president of residential sales and marketing
Bruce Cole, and western regional
manager Pat Schipper during WaterFurnace’s
annual sales meeting held April 3-5
in Orlando, FL.
“We’re delighted to receive this award,
which is a testament to the hard work of
our employees and their commitment to
the comfort of our customers,” said Mark
Falkena, president of Fred’s Plumbing &
Heating. “It is exciting to watch not only
our geothermal sales continue to grow, but
to see the increased awareness and acceptance
of the most efficient heating and
cooling technology available. We appreciate
the fact that WaterFurnace recognizes
our efforts and our achievements.”
Cole expressed his appreciation.
“Congratulations on your well-deserved
recognition as one of our top dealers and
thank you for all you do to help WaterFurnace
serve the geothermal market in your
area,” he said.
Fred’s Plumbing & Heating began selling
WaterFurnace geothermal products in
1993 and has watched that portion of its
business grow as interest in geothermal
energy has increased.
Geothermal systems tap the completely
renewable and unlimited supply of solar
energy stored just a few feet below the
earth’s surface and use that energy to drive
heating and cooling systems in both residential
and commercial buildings.
In addition to potentially available
federal, state and local tax incentives that
enhance the affordability of geothermal
systems, this cost-effective, environmentally
friendly technology offers a host of
benefits — from being the most efficient
heating, ventilation and air conditioning
solution available to significantly reduced
carbon footprints and much more.
Fred’s Plumbing & Heating has been
providing “Quiet Comfort” since 1972
and is a third-generation business. It is
licensed in Iowa, Minnesota and South
Dakota and provides service within a
70-mile radius.
Fred’s is the 11th largest WaterFurnace
Dealer in the nation. This can be attributed
to its highly trained service technicians
who work tirelessly to provide their
customers with the best possible service.
WaterFurnace is a leading manufacturer
of residential, commercial, industrial and
institutional geothermal and water source
heat pumps.
Although it earned a reputation as a
leader in geothermal heat pumps, Water-
Furnace has worked in recent years to
innovate new technologies, integrate key
trends and grow the core business to represent
a portfolio of clean and sustainable
solutions. WaterFurnace was founded in
1983, and the company is headquartered
in Fort Wayne, IN.
