BACK TO SCHOOL
SCHOOL MASS
This month, we held our whole
school mass, a fantastic way to
foster the spiritual development of
our school community. It was great
to see everyone in our school
gathered together in the chapel.
SCHOOL NURSE
In the first month back, we
welcomed many new faces to our
school, and we welcomed back a
former Head Girl, Catherine Cadden,
in her new role as School Nurse.
PRIZEGIVING
We celebrated our students'
success in style during our first
month back to school. It was
fantastic to see the pride our pupils
have in their achievements and to
welcome back some of our recently
graduated Year 14s.

STUDENT COUNCIL
SPORTING SUCCESS
This month, we celebrated the successes of our U20
Ladies and our U16 Boys. Both teams performed brilliantly,
with the girls qualifying for the knockout stage and the boys
qualifying for the quarter-final.
KS3, KS4, and KS5 were joined by
Mr Kelly, Mr Conlon, Mrs
MacDonald, and Chairman of our
Board of Governors Thomas
O’Reilly for our first Student Council
meeting of the year. Our newly
elected Councillors also received
their badges. Our Student Council
is essential to creating a stimulating
and welcoming environment.
It wasn’t just sporting success that
we lauded this month; we also
celebrated the success of some of
our talented artists and linguists
who claimed top prizes in the
Lisnaskea Feis.

GEOGRAPHY
Although some wet wellies were involved, the Year
11 Geography trip to Gortatole definitely provided a
stimulating environment for learning.
RELIGION
Some of our Religion students got a
first-hand experience with our school's
values and vision. On their crosscommunity
trip to St. Macartin's
Cathedral and St Michael's Enniskillen,
they learned about the powerful place
of worship and equality regardless of
religion or background. They also got to
take part in a Q&A with Monsignor
O’Reilly and Dean Kenneth Hall.
CHINA
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for some of
our pupils who landed in China this month for
our first school trip to the Asian continent.

It was an all-singing and all-dancing
affair here in December as we brought
back school shows to Saint Kevin’s! Mr
Conlon, with the help of Mrs McManus,
Miss Lee, Miss Tierney and some very
talented and dedicated cast and crew,
put on 4 shows of Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5!

with lots of fun talks and events planned
for all year groups. Big successes were
the Mock Interview Day for Year 12 with
local employers, the past pupil event and
guest speaker Neven Maguire.
SKI TRIP
It was that time of year when we
took our students off to hit the
slopes! Staff and students had a
great time skiing in Italy this year
and the countdown is already on for
next year's trip!
ST PATRICK’S DAY
Our Carlo Acutis Faith Group
helped us celebrate St Patrick’s Day
in style by throwing a Hooley to
raise funds. There was music,

ATHLETICS
Saint Kevin's College pupils took part in
a very successful County Sports event
this month. There were some excellent
performances, and numerous athletes
received individual and team accolades
on the day.
BISHOP OF KITUI
Our Carlo Acutis Faith Group had the
fantastic opportunity to meet the Rt. Rev.
Joseph Mwongela, the Bishop of Kitui,
ahead of their trip to Kitui, Kenya, in
January. It was great for our pupils to get
the lowdown from a local and to show off
all their hard work so far.
SPORTS DAY
Our students had a great time at Sports
Day this month. They had a great day
with lots of races, long jumping shot
putting, and even a tug-of-war. Even
Pluto got in on the fun this year! Thanks
to the PE Department for organising a
fantastic day.

We've had a great school year, our students
have worked hard and now it's time for their
well-earned break. Exams are done and the
