COURSE<br />

OBJECTIVE<br />

This course aims to increase confidence in<br />

managing feline medical cases commonly<br />

encountered in general practice. It aims to<br />

develop an understanding <strong>of</strong> aspects unique<br />

to feline medicine, as well as a logical,<br />

problem-based, and evidence-based<br />

approach to a broad range <strong>of</strong> clinical<br />

present<strong>at</strong>ions.<br />

STRUCTURE<br />

AND BENEFITS<br />

The postgradu<strong>at</strong>e program comprises 12<br />

modules. These will be delivered by<br />

specialists in their respective fields to<br />

ensure teaching is up-to-d<strong>at</strong>e and <strong>of</strong> the<br />

highest quality. Each module includes a<br />

mixture <strong>of</strong> remotely delivered lectures,<br />

clinical cases, and discussion boards. These<br />

components will equip students with a<br />

logical approach to a range <strong>of</strong> clinical<br />

problems.<br />

Upon completing the course, they will be<br />

capable <strong>of</strong> conducting a thorough history<br />

and p<strong>at</strong>ient assessment to establish a<br />

comprehensive problem list, gener<strong>at</strong>ing<br />

relevant differential diagnoses, planning<br />

appropri<strong>at</strong>e diagnostic investig<strong>at</strong>ions,<br />

making evidence-based tre<strong>at</strong>ment<br />

recommend<strong>at</strong>ions, and understanding<br />

p<strong>at</strong>ient prognosis.<br />

TARGET AUDIENCE<br />

The course is designed for pr<strong>of</strong>essionals working in first opinion or emergency<br />

practice, aiming to deepen their understanding <strong>of</strong> feline medicine and upd<strong>at</strong>e their<br />

knowledge base. It will be relevant for clinicians with some experience in feline<br />

medicine, as well as newer gradu<strong>at</strong>es looking to establish firm found<strong>at</strong>ions in this<br />

subject.<br />
