COURSE<br />
OBJECTIVE<br />
The aim <strong>of</strong> this course is to develop strong<br />
clinical thinking skills for day-to-day practice,<br />
focusing on a robust understanding <strong>of</strong><br />
neurology, including clear an<strong>at</strong>omical<br />
localis<strong>at</strong>ion and differential diagnosis,<br />
particularly for the most common diseases in<br />
dogs and c<strong>at</strong>s.<br />

STRUCTURE<br />
AND BENEFITS<br />
The postgradu<strong>at</strong>e programme comprises<br />
modules with theoretical-practical lectures<br />
th<strong>at</strong> enable students to system<strong>at</strong>ically<br />
approach neurology cases. Each module will<br />
be taught by one or several ECVN diplom<strong>at</strong>s<br />
(or residency-trained specialists), who are<br />
pioneers in their fields to ensure the highest<br />
quality training.<br />
At the end <strong>of</strong> each module, students will<br />
gain comprehensive insight into the clinical<br />
present<strong>at</strong>ion, diagnosis, tre<strong>at</strong>ment<br />
possibilities, and prognosis <strong>of</strong> neurological<br />
p<strong>at</strong>ients. They will be capable <strong>of</strong> conducting<br />
a complete neurological examin<strong>at</strong>ion,<br />
localising lesions within the nervous system,<br />
making a differential diagnosis, and<br />
planning appropri<strong>at</strong>e diagnostic and<br />
tre<strong>at</strong>ment procedures. Moreover, they will<br />
have the opportunity to rel<strong>at</strong>e these lectures<br />
to their own cases, ask questions, and<br />
interact with experienced clinicians.<br />
TARGET AUDIENCE<br />
Designed for pr<strong>of</strong>essionals working in first opinion, emergency practice, or those<br />
seeking to specialise in neurology via an internship or residency, this programme<br />
is ideal for veterinarians aiming to deepen their knowledge in this specialty,<br />
upd<strong>at</strong>e their skills, and learn innov<strong>at</strong>ive practices applicable to daily practice.<br />
This postgradu<strong>at</strong>e programme will be highly beneficial for clinicians with some<br />
experience in neurology, as well as beginners needing a clear grasp <strong>of</strong><br />
