From the Editor CANTERBURY MAIDSTONE Firstly, everyone here in the Priceless office would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to enjoy Wealden Times Midsummer Fair – from our amazing set-up team and exhibitors to the thousands of fabulous shoppers supporting independent businesses. As ever, beautiful Hole Park provided the perfect backdrop for our three-day event and musical interludes from Marlborough House, Dulwich Cranbrook, Sutton Valence and Ashford School added to the relaxed summery atmosphere. We’re fortunate to live in an area of not only beautiful countryside, but historic towns and villages, too. This issue’s Royal Tunbridge Wells special highlights all the reasons to visit this thriving spa town. From incredible eateries and boutiques to gorgeous places to stay and lively events, we’ve compiled all the must-sees for a weekend of fun, whether you’re new to the area or a seasoned local. Our interiors features, though certainly different in style, are both buildings with a history that have undergone a dramatic transformation. The first, an impressively proportioned oast house, is living a new life as a holiday let, whilst the second – a Grade II listed maisonette – started life as a merchant’s shop on Tenterden High Street and is now a unique home to a couple who relish central town life. Recipes come courtesy of exciting new restaurant from acclaimed chef, Robin Read, The Counter. Happy cooking!
