Sea Pollution/Microplastics<br />
“The environment is our home”.<br />
These were some of the phrases heard during the<br />
seminar organized in collaboration with HELMEPA,<br />
on the topic of “Ocean Warming - Sea Pollution -<br />
Microplastics”. The A Lykeiou PreIB students attended<br />
the interesting presentations of the speakers at the<br />
School Theater, asked questions, and participated<br />
in workshops. Then they took ecological action at<br />
Schoinia Beach, realizing the environmental impacts<br />
on the marine environment and the atmosphere.<br />

Artemis Environmental Project<br />
In 2022, a group of IB1 students started a series of<br />
clean-ups of important wetlands and coastal beaches<br />
of Attica. Project Artemis, as they have named it,<br />
aims to raise awareness in our community about the<br />
importance of protecting the natural environment.<br />
This year in the wetland of Vravrona, students<br />
collected 144 kg of garbage.<br />

Helmepa Day & Sea World<br />
Management &Training<br />
The Helmepa organization & the CAS Department<br />
organized a beach clean-up at the beach of Schinias.<br />
An IB1 student took the initiative to find volunteers<br />
and together with seven classmates formed their own<br />
team, signed up and supported this successful and<br />
important event by cleaning the area from plastic and<br />
other litter.<br />

Pyrna and Home Project<br />
Speakers from Pyrna and Home Project visited our<br />
school to inform the children about how they can<br />
contribute to various social actions in collaboration<br />
with these organizations.

Blood Drive<br />
A blood drive was organized by students in<br />
collaboration with the Red Cross.With many<br />
working volunteers from our school, as well as many<br />
participants, the blood donation day thoughtfully<br />
contributed to the critical and constant social need<br />
for blood transfusions.<br />

τα στερεότυπα, οι κοινωνικές δομές. Οι τομείς<br />
στους οποίους ενεργοποιείται το CAS Department<br />
είναι πολλοί και προωθούν την ενσυναίσθηση και το<br />
ομαδικό πνεύμα. Εκτός από τις εξατομικευμένες δραστηριότητες<br />

As part of the educational activities planned by the<br />
school for the A Lykeiou PreIB students, a school trip<br />
to the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion took place.<br />

Visit to CERN<br />
An educational trip that took place from October 25-<br />
29 in Switzerland and France. The program of the trip<br />
included a tour of the ATLAS detector at the Globe and<br />
the Super Proton Synchrotron at CERN.<br />

A Lykeiou PreIB, Kalamata, 4 days trip<br />
This year, the four-day educational trip for the<br />
students of A Lykeiou PreIB1 took place in Kalamata<br />
and its surrounding area. The students visited<br />
Ancient Messini, Mani, Kardamyli, Methoni, Koroni,<br />
Areopoli, and Nafplio.<br />

Stroll in Plaka<br />
An educational springtime stroll through Plaka, the<br />
city’s most picturesque neighborhood. A guided tour<br />
of the Byzantine church of Agios Nikolaos Ragavas,<br />
Tripodon Street, the oldest European street, the<br />
monument of Lysicrates, the Capuchin monastery,<br />
Agios Georgios of the Rocks, and the Anafiotika<br />
neighborhood.<br />
