The wave profile gives the terra-S garden
profiles 3000 and PRO a very high stability, which is
comparable to an 8 times stronger flat material.

In this way, we achieve a huge reduction in material and weight without
compromising strength. The reduced use of materials ensures a more
resource-efficient and environmentally friendly production, as well as
savings in raw material procurement.
The weight saving leads to significantly lower transport costs and much
less handling when installing the profiles on site.
terra-S garden profiles can be laid directly into the ground or concrete
without the need for additional fixings such as ground anchors. The
wave profile ensures a high degree of stability in the ground and prevents
the profile from rising up in the event of frost. The profile grows
into the ground or is anchored in the concrete foundation.
The CO2 footprint of the profiles is significantly improved by the patented
wave profile. Compared to smooth material, terra-S garden profiles
have an increased CO2 saving potential.

Elegant rust look for modern garden design. Corten steel is a very
weather resistant construction steel which develops a thin layer of
rust on the surface after some time. When delivered, Corten steel is
medium-grey and unrusted. The formation of rust can be accelerated
by the use of a rust activator. The typical rust colour provides a
colourful accent in green areas. This steel is also used in listed parks.
3000-AL: Aluminium
Material: WG-B57S
Aluminium is a light metal, so the profiles are easy to handle. Aluminium
profiles are ideal for new installations and do-it-yourself applications.

Product Features
Product Description
Garden profile 3000 and Gartenprofil PRO have common features. With
an average weight of 2.5 kg per m, the handling of the profiles during
installation is comparatively low. The higher installation output per hour
allows for more efficient resource planning and therefore more projects.
Shaft profile for stability
Garden profile 3000 is profiled throughout. This gives the profiles great
stability. The transverse ribs also ensure stability in the ground. In the
case of Gartenprofil PRO, only the bottom 5 cm or 10 cm of the edging is
corrugated for stability and secure anchoring in the ground. If required,
the profiles can also be stabilised with ground anchors and point or strip
foundations, for example where paths are used.
Rounded top for safety
The rounded top edge protects against injury, making it an ideal solution
for gardens where children play. It also prevents damage to lawnmowers
and robotic mowers.
Subsequent installation
The profiles can also be retrofitted when the garden has been laid out
a long time ago and the shrubs have grown in. The edging is built up in
the desired shape and held in place with terra-S fixing stakes with a guide
nose. If the ground is soft, it is advisable to dig into the ground along
the profile. On hard, dry soils, the soil should be moistened beforehand.
To install the profiles, use a plastic hammer or the installation aid (only
suitable for small projects). Never strike the profile directly with a metal
hammer, as the metal abrasion can cause rusting.

Garden Profile 3000
Garden Profile 3000 is profiled throughout for high strength
and rigidity. The light wave profile also gives the profiles
stability and ensures that they are securely anchored in the
ground.
Garden profile 3000 has a rounded top edge (profile height
100, 150, 200 mm) or a rounded top and bottom edge (profile
height 300 mm). The individual profile heights can be
combined with each other.
Due to the wave profile, Garden Profile 3000 is very stable
and yet easy to bend. The longer the profile and the lower
the profile height, the easier it is to bend. Lengthwise profiles
are flexible from a length of 180 cm.
Depending on material and profile height, the standard
length of 2400 mm can be installed in arches. When installed
in curved shapes, the screw connection is reinforced
with connecting plates.

Length profile
Garden profile 3000 length profiles are ideal as edging for straight
and curved sections of beds and lawns.
The profiles are also ideal for pond edging and slope stabilisation
as well as for path and road construction.
Garden profile 3000 length profiles are available in stainless
steel, galvanised steel, Corten steel and aluminium. The different
profile heights can be combined with each other.
Half-round / quarter-round profile
Garden Profile 3000 pre-bent elements are used as circular
edging around trees and shrubs. The profiles can also be
used individually or combined with longitudinal profiles
and corner connectors. Retrofitting is possible at any time
when the shrubs have long since grown in.
Two half-round profiles or four quarter-round profiles each
produce a full circle of the specified diameter. Half-round
round profiles are available with diameters of 500, 750 and
1150 mm, quarter-round profiles with diameters of 1500 and
2250 mm. The pre-bent profiles are available in stainless
steel, galvanised steel and Corten steel with a profile height
of 150 mm.

12 – Garden profile PRO

Garden profile PRO
Garden profile PRO has a clear appearance and is very stable.
The profiles are available in galvanised steel and with a
stainless steel look in Corten steel in heights of 150 and 200
mm, as well as in stainless steel in a height of 150 mm. The
upper visible area of the edging is a smooth material with
a flat surface. Only the lower part is profiled by approx. 50
or approx. 100 mm (for profile height 200 mm). The patented
wave profiling ensures for high stability and secure anchoring
in the ground. Garden profile PRO is bendable. The
profiles can be laid in curves without any problems. When
installing in curved shapes, additional connecting plates are
recommended to reinforce the screw connection. As with
all terra-S profiles, the top edge of Garden profile PRO is
rounded to protect against injury.
Length profile PRO
Garden profile PRO length profiles are ideal as borders for
paths, flower beds and lawns. The flexible profiles also make
it easy to realise individual shapes. The minimalist design
of the profiles also harmonises very well with large-format
paving on terraces, where a high-quality appearance with
clear structures is expressly desired.
The standard length of 2400 mm can be laid in curves. For
curved sections, the screw connection of the profiles should
be additionally reinforced with connecting plates.

Paths are particularly effective when the lines are clearly
defined. Garden profile 3000 provides a clean visual separation
between the path and the planting or paving area. The
profile also prevents the path surface from shifting sideways
under heavy loads.

The L-profile is ideal for paving and natural stone surfaces,
roof gardens and path construction. The L-profile is available
in galvanised steel, chrome-nickel steel, Corten steel
and aluminium (substrate rail) in the following edgings (see
table on the left) Standard length is 2400 mm in each case.
Each profile has 13 trapezoidal surfaces. The holes in the horizontal
surfaces are for fastenings in the substructure, e.g. with
ground pegs or concrete dowels. Thanks to the recesses between
the trapezoidal surfaces, the angle profile is also suitable
for curved installation.

The Basic angle profile complements our existing range of angle profiles.
It has 3 trapezoidal surfaces and is only suitable for straight-line installation.
Angle profile Basic can be easily combined with our existing angle
profiles. Angle profile Basic is now available in aluminium as a substrate
rail and as shown in the table on the right. The standard length is 2400
mm in each case.
Substrate rail / gravel strip: With the aluminium substrate rails, green
roofs and gravel strips can be cleanly separated. The profiling results
in high stability. In combination with the low dead weight and the
many design options (organic shapes), the profiles can be used almost
indefinitely for green roofs.

too familiar to everyone in the garden and is usually very annoying.
Whether on patio edgings, bed edges or at the edge
of a path: after mowing the lawn, cutting edges often remain
that have to be subsequently removed with a trimmer

in importance. Thanks to the attractive lighting,
the living room in the house merges seamlessly into the

Light - not just for plants
Thanks to the different ornamental patterns, the light
also shines forwards, providing orientation and safety
on footpaths. There are five ornamental patterns available
from stock. On request, almost any pattern can be
pattern can be worked into the solid metal with high precision.
Only the imagination sets limits
Lettering, directional arrows, names and logos, everything

Behind the light profiles is modern LED
technology: economical in consumption,
long-lasting, easy to use and 100%
made in Europe.
The lighting system is prepared to such an extent that the
LED strips (IP67) can simply be glued into the rounded top
edge of the light profile and connected by a qualified electrician
on site.
The sustainability tip for your garden -
Warm white light for the environment
The warm white light makes green colours appear richer and
stronger. It also has a relaxing and calming effect and does
not disturb nocturnal animals in their circadian rhythm. We
therefore recommend outdoor lighting with a warm white
colour temperature of 3090 Kelvin (K).

Installation of the profiles
Connect profiles
The profiles are overlapped by 2 cm and screwed together.
A longitudinal profile with a length of 240 cm therefore has
a real length of 238 cm after joining. Ensure that the overlap
is correct so that the transition is seamless. A lateral offset at
the overlap of the profiles can be easily corrected with the
alignment tool.
Installation in curved shapes
When laying longitudinal profiles in curves, connecting plates
should be used in the overlap area. These are pushed
under the bent top edge and screwed to both profiles. This
prevents possible misalignment of the upper edges. For curved
shapes, ground anchors or concrete foundations can be
used for additional stability, e.g. in tightly curved areas.
Customise profiles
Profiles can be shortened using an angle grinder (Flex) and
a suitable cutting disc. A flap disc with a grain size of 80 is
used to deburr the cut edge. Special INOX discs are used for
stainless steel, as otherwise flash rust will occur. For galvanised
profiles, the cut edges should be cold galvanised with
a zinc spray. In the case of a slope, a V-cut is made on the
profile to just below the bent top edge and bent at the desired
angle.
Installation height - Profile height
As a lawn edging, the profile is usually sunk into the ground
to a depth of 1 - 2 cm and installed flush with the ground
when using a robotic lawnmower. At least half of the profile
should be set in the ground so that the corrugated profile
has a firm hold in the ground. A profile height of 150 mm
is usually used for lawn edging or bed edging and a height
of 200 mm for path construction. A height of 300 mm is recommended
for raised beds, on roof terraces or to secure
slopes.

Installation variants
Installation with concrete foundations
For trafficked or heavily frequented paths and areas, the
profiles are placed in a strip foundation in accordance
with standards in order to absorb the lateral pressure. The
concrete back support on both sides secures the profiles
against shifting and bulging.

If paths and surfaces are only walked on, then point foundations
are sufficient as an alternative to ground anchors.
In this case, the profiles are fixed with concrete at points
approx. every 1 - 3 metres. Concrete should be used in particular
for prominent demarcation points such as corners and
strongly curved sections.
On tarred surfaces, the asphalt is pulled up to the top edge
of the profile so that the edge can be driven on. For paved
surfaces, the top edge of the kerb is usually set so that it is
flush or 1 - 2 cm below the top edge of the paving when
finished (after the paving has been levelled).

Redesign
In a new installation, the edge boundary is normally
set first and fixed in position. This can be done
with a concrete foundation, with ground anchors
or with the help of fixing rods or string lines. The
materials are then poured on and compacted, as
shown in the picture on the right. Compaction
using a vibrating plate is best done simultaneously
and on both sides to prevent the profiles from
shifting.
Path edging and pavement finish
If gravel, chippings or other material is used on one or both
sides of the edging in which the corrugated profile has little
grip, the profiles should also be secured with ground anchors.
Footpaths with a water-bound surface, gravel and grit paths
are typical areas of application for ground anchors that can
be easily moved along the profile using the terra-S clamping
system.
Where necessary, the ground anchors are driven directly
into the ground. The screwed-together profile strip is
then fixed into the clamping system of the ground anchor,
aligned and DONE. The anchors are also used to stabilise
slopes. They absorb the pressure from the slope and give
the profile additional support.

Roof greening
Installation with L-angle
The L-angle brackets can be screwed together
with the profiles and form "feet". The L-brackets
have slotted holes, e.g. for dowelling the
profiles onto a base plate or foundation.
Profile height 300 mm is an ideal solution for
green roofs and wherever a barrier layer does
not allow sufficient planting depth to be achieved.
Organic shapes
In combination with the low dead weight and the many design
options (organic shapes), the profiles can be used almost indefinitely
for green roofs.

During the final inspection at the factory, all
profiles are labelled at the joints so that they

Bad Oeynhausen spa gardens
In the Bad Oeynhausen spa gardens, the
installation of Gartenprofil 3000 has led to

LDZ Linz
The provincial service centre in Linz is the seat of the Upper
Austrian provincial government. The five inner courtyards
of the LDZ were designed with Gartenprofil 3000.
The raised beds are made of stainless steel with a height of
30 cm. The rectangles and ellipses are up to 10 metres long.

Saigerhütte Grünthal in Olbernhau - UNESCO World Heritage Site
For the "Saigerhütte Olbernhau - Grünthal" park, a unique
testimony to the metallurgy of non-ferrous metallurgy dating
back to 1537, terra-S supplied the path and flowerbed
edging in Corten steel to match the historical ambience.
Some of these were customised for circular and rectangular
arrangements, which were then simply assembled on site
for installation.
