The Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society (Rubber Division, ACS) is an international association of chemists,
engineers, technicians, scientists, plant managers, sales and marketing professionals and others in the rubber, polymer or related
fields within industry, academia and government. For over 100 years, we have worked to educate, connect and grow the evolving
elastomer industry through educational, technical, business and networking activities.

Spring Technical Meeting

International Elastomer Conference
Our International Elastomer Conference is the one place, one time a year, where you find the best of our industry all under one roof.

When it comes to rubber industry education, Rubber Division, ACS is your best resource!
Courses & Webinars
Our training opportunities cover a wide variety of important topics and are offered all throughout the year. Webinars are free for
our members and all our courses are free for undergraduate student members (discount for masters & graduate student members).
Courses are held virtually with the exception of a few scheduled to be held at partner locations.
CEUs:
You are eligible to receive continuing education units (CEUs) for many of our courses through our partnership
with the University of Akron.
Training Pass:
You can purchase a training pass to attend all our virtual courses and webinars for ONE YEAR for ONE PRICE.
Individual passes, as well as company-level passes with tiers of up to 50 trainees, are available.

Rubber Chemistry & Technology
Rubber Chemistry & Technology is the official science publication of Rubber Division, ACS. As the premier scientific journal for
the science and technology of rubber and elastomeric materials, we are a hybrid open-access journal publishing peer-reviewed
research covering important work from across the international scientific community – fundamental research and technical
developments relating to chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or technological developments of rubber and
allied substances.
Published continuously since 1928, the journal provides the deepest archive of published research in the field. Rubber Chemistry &
Technology is read by scientists and engineers in academia, industry and government. Access to the complete archive of the RC&T
online journal is a key benefit of membership in Rubber Division, ACS. Online and/or print subscription plans are also available to
corporations, academic institutions and individuals.

and everything in between. We continuously work to make our industry known to students and younger generations, so they know
they have the chance to be a part of something truly extraordinary.

Scholarships
Rubber Division, ACS offers two $5,000 Undergraduate Scholarships to students entering their junior or senior year for the
fall-spring academic year. In addition, the former Connecticut Rubber Group offers a $5,000 Russell Mazzeo Memorial
Undergraduate Scholarship. Applicants for these scholarships may have a major area study in chemistry, physics, chemical or
mechanical engineering, polymer science or any other technical discipline relevant to the rubber industry. Each winner receives
up to $5,000 to put towards educational tuition expenses. Application deadline is March 1 of each year. Many of our regional
Rubber Groups also offer student scholarships as well.

Rubber Technology Training Award
This award provides up to $1,250 to rubber industry employees to allow them to attend our Spring Technical Meeting
or International Elastomer Conference in the year they are selected. Applications are due by March 1 each year.
Best Paper Award
This award recognizes those individuals authoring and presenting papers at Rubber Division, ACS meetings.
Publication Excellence Award
The purpose of this award is to recognize the paper published in our Rubber Chemistry & Technology Journal each year that best
exemplifies excellence in scientific publishing.
Service Awards
Rubber Division, ACS honors the dedication, commitment and service of individuals to our organization through our Distinguished
Service Award, Arnold Smith Special Service Award and Certificates of Appreciation.
