FabriClean
The task for high-pressure showers to clean felts/fabrics is getting more
difficult and more specific. Therefore, James Ross developed FabriClean
to provide a more specific focus on the needs.
Using nozzles with small orifices but operated at high pressure (compared
to conventional high-pressure showers) is a very efficient and
water-saving cleaning. At the same time, the amount of water penetration
into the felt/fabric is significantly reduced.
Your benefits
/ Reduction of water consumption in comparison
to conventional high-pressure showers of 80%-90%.
/ Increased deep cleaning.
pressMASTER
Felt conditioning and reducing vacuum volume
The correct felt-conditioning by means of properly designed felt suction
boxes is a significant factor for a tissue machine’s performance. The energy
consumption, especially used for the vacuum requirements, is very high.
It is necessary to start here if you want to save energy, while maintaining
proper felt-conditioning. The reversed objective is to improve conditioning,
while maintaining the current energy requirements.
/ Energy savings by reduced vacuum level.
/ Improved felt conditioning due to longer dwell time
and optimized whole pattern.
/ More gentle dewatering due to longer dwell time.
/ Improved felt life time due to better felt support.
/ Best protection for seam felt applications.
/ Keeps felt open - reduces cleaning chemicals.
/ Existing uhle boxes may be re-used.
/ Possibility to adjust open area over felt life time.
/ Multiple life time compared to spray coated units, ceramic
can be cost efficient, being refurbished multiple times.
HOW IT WORKS
The unique design of the IBS drilled covers offers solutions in both directions. Significant
energy savings can yield a ROI of few months only. Additional benefits of the drilled covers
are protection for seamed felts and longer felt life in general.
The special design and construction of IBS drilled cover boxes, along with the unique ceramic
properties, yields efficient and energy saving felt cleaning. The reduced drive requirements
also contribute to extended felt life. Improved felt cleaning, because of longer dwell time,
minimizes the need for essential chemicals, which also reduces the overall operating cost.
07 IMPROVED FIBER TREATMENT
DEFLAKING YOUR FIBERS + FIBER CUSTOMIZING
/ Wear-free deflaking.
/ Controlled fiber fibrillation.
/ No fiber shortening.
/ Increasing strength properties (tensile, burst etc.).
/ For virgin and recycled fibers.
/ Homogeneous pulp properties.
/ Low energy input.
/ Very low maintenance costs.
GET MORE FROM YOUR FIBERS
Our patented systems provide new possibilities for the preparation of
suspensions for all kind of fibers. By dispersing the fibers of the pulp
suspension are separated and deflaked, and it also comes to a fibrillation of
pulp fibers when dispersed. The main advantage of this method is that there
is no shortening of the fibers and thus increases the strength properties of
diverse types of papers can be achieved.
During the dispersion process fibers are fibrillated without shorting the
fibers at all. Various strength properties can be developed, the design and
mode of operation gives the flexibility for fiber customizing.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
In the known pulp preparation with refiners, fibers are inevitably shortened,
through the narrow spacing of the refiner discs to each other and
the interacting pairing, edge to edge.
Our solutions are based on a disperser. Thus, the disruptive shear stress
of the fibers is omitted and the original fiber lengths are retained in the
pulp. This is made possible by the design of the rotor / stator system,
which is operated with correspondingly high shear rates, resulting in an
intensive, continuous mixing of the pulp.
THE RESULT
With our solution strength values of the paper will be increased. Design
and mode of operation allows a defined development. Lab and pilot plant
available.
08 safetyMASTER - SAFE FELT MEASUREMENT
FULLY AUTOMATED SAFE PERMEABILITY &
MOISTURE PROFILE MEASUREMENT FOR FELTS
A periodic monitoring of press section felt condition is an indispensable prerequisite for maintaining
a constant high quality paper. This requires a cross-profile measurement at the running machine.
However, a huge safety risk is present with a manual measurement at the running machine.
Many paper mills now forbid a crossing of the current machine due to safety reasons. Furthermore, there are
positions at which a manual measurement is impossible due to inaccessibility. In addition, the results of hand
measurements always depend on individuals.
/ Absolutely safe.
