Photographer Anubhav Sood (Poland)<br />
Can you tell us a little about you? I am a seasoned Indian photographer currently residing in Poland, with over a<br />
decade of active engagement in the profession since 2010. Commencing my career in India, I have since transitioned<br />
to capturing moments throughout Europe. Through my lens, I strive to encapsulate and convey the intricate<br />
moods often overlooked in the fabric of our daily existence.<br />
How and when did you get into photography? My early immersion in photography stemmed from frequent visits<br />
to my grandfather, a seasoned professional in the field. During our vacations, I found myself consistently surrounded<br />
by cameras, his artistic endeavors, and an array of captivating photographs.<br />
This inadvertent exposure undoubtedly played a pivotal role in nurturing my passion for the art of photography.<br />
What does photography mean to you? Photography serves as my sanctuary, a realm where I transcend reality,<br />
weaving scenes reminiscent of cinematic grandeur. I am captivated by the intricacies of the craft, meticulously dissecting<br />
lighting techniques to either emulate or infuse with my unique aesthetic signature.<br />
Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. My journey in photography has undergone a significant<br />
evolution, notably transitioning from night photography capturing moody street lights to a style influenced<br />
by the atmospheric paintings of Edward Hopper and the meticulously staged scenes of Gregory Crewdson. This shift<br />
underscores the transformative power of perspective and color in eliciting emotive responses from viewers.<br />
Do you think in advance what you want? It's common for preconceived ideas and planned shots to encounter obstacles<br />
or not meet expectations during actual shooting sessions. Consequently, I frequently find myself adapting<br />
and formulating new ideas on-site to ensure the desired outcome aligns with the project's objectives.<br />
