Garden Club held its<br />
annual plant auction<br />
on May 14 at<br />
<strong>Groveport</strong> Zion<br />
Lutheran Church,<br />
6014 <strong>Groveport</strong> Road.<br />

“We raised $1,589 between the raffle and the plant auction,” said <strong>Groveport</strong> Garden Club President Lacy Cooper. The club’s<br />
<strong>Groveport</strong> Garden Tour will be <strong>June</strong> 23 from noon to 5 p.m. (rain or shine). Tour tickets are free. Gardeners can contact<br />
groveportgardenclub@gmail.com for details on participating as a tour stop or for information on how to get tickets. Tour tickets<br />
will also be available for in-person pick-up at <strong>Groveport</strong> Town Hall, <strong>Groveport</strong> Recreation Center, and the <strong>Groveport</strong><br />
Senior Center beginning <strong>June</strong> 11. The <strong>Groveport</strong> Garden Club will also maintain the herb garden at the Nature Center (log<br />
house) at Heritage Park and has rented a plot at the <strong>Groveport</strong> Community Garden where it will grow some produce to<br />

Fourth of July in <strong>Groveport</strong><br />
The city of <strong>Groveport</strong> will celebrate<br />
Independence Day on July 3 and July 4.<br />
Activities along Wirt Road on July 3<br />
include: live music performances by Mama<br />
Drama at 5 p.m., Devin Henry at 6:30<br />
p.m., and Crush Bon Jovi Experience at 8<br />
p.m.; food trucks; family activities; and<br />
fireworks at dusk accompanied by music<br />
on radio frequency 88.3.<br />
Activities on July 4 include:<br />
•Red, White, and Kids Parade begins at<br />
10:30 a.m. Staging at 10 a.m. on the<br />
<strong>Groveport</strong> Elementary playground and<br />
parking at Middle School Central. Parade<br />
starts at 751 Main St., goes west on Main<br />
Street and south on Oak Street to Crooked<br />
Alley KidSpace, 630 Wirt Road.<br />
•Main Fourth of July Parade begins at<br />
11 a.m. Staging at the <strong>Groveport</strong><br />
Recreation Center, 7370 <strong>Groveport</strong> Road,<br />
at 8 a.m. Parade starts at Richardson Road<br />
and goes west on Main Street, then north<br />
on Hendron Road, and ending at<br />
Glendening Elementary.<br />

Two documentary films on the history<br />
of <strong>Groveport</strong>, produced by the <strong>Groveport</strong><br />
Heritage Society and Midnet Media, are<br />
