According to SHP and information from a school<br />
capacity study by Cropper GIS Consulting, the current<br />
enrollment and capacity configurations for the district’s<br />
schools are (modular classrooms where indicated):<br />
•Asbury Elementary (includes four modulars):<br />
enrollment, 506; capacity, 481.<br />
•Dunloe Elementary (includes four modulars):<br />
enrollment, 499; capacity, 540.<br />
•Glendening Elementary: enrollment, 492; capacity,<br />
480.<br />
•<strong>Groveport</strong> Elementary (includes four modulars):<br />
percent; and Middle School Central at 79 percent. district.<br />

Master Facility Plan background<br />
District officials considered the following options:<br />
•Renovations or additions on existing elementary<br />
and middle schools plus an addition to the high school.<br />
•Constructing all new elementaries and middle<br />
schools plus an addition to the high school.<br />
•Combination of new construction and renovations<br />
and additions to the existing elementary and middle<br />
schools plus an addition to the high school.<br />
Predovich said, according to the OFCC, if renovation<br />
costs exceed two-thirds the cost of replacing a<br />
building, the state recommends replacing the building.<br />
The district would have to meet state requirements to<br />
get a waiver to make renovations for buildings above<br />
this limit.<br />
According to 2023 OFCC figures, all of the district’s<br />
elementaries and middle schools exceed this two-thirds<br />
limit with Asbury at 89 percent; Dunloe at 91 percent;<br />
Glendening at 83 percent; <strong>Groveport</strong> at 99 percent;<br />
Madison at 88 percent; Sedalia at 67 percent; Middle<br />
School North at 78 percent; Middle School South at 77<br />

in 1968 and 1969.<br />

Cruiser athletes excel<br />

•<strong>Groveport</strong> Madison High School’s Raishad King is the <strong>2024</strong><br />
district champion in the long jump event for track & field. King<br />
had a long jump of 21 feet 7.5 inches at the district meet. He went<br />
on to compete in the regional competition where he qualified for<br />
the state competition. He was named Region 3 Runner Up with a<br />
distance of 22 feet 2.5 inches in the long jump. This is his second<br />
consecutive trip to states.<br />
•Three other Cruiser track & field athletes also advanced to<br />
regional competition including: Elijah Simmons qualified in the<br />
200 meter dash, after placing second at district; Aubrey Glover<br />
qualified in the 400 meter dash, after placing fourth at district;<br />
and Jalen Joyce qualified in the shot put, after placing second at<br />
The top four finishers at regionals will qualify for the OHSAA<br />
State Track Meet in Dayton.<br />
•The following <strong>Groveport</strong> Madison High School baseball players<br />
earned OCC Buckeye Division recognition: Chris Conley, OCC<br />
Buckeye Division second team honors and second team All<br />
District honors; Cameron Anderson earned OCC special mention<br />
recognition; and Jackson Lutz earned OCC honorable mention<br />
Marc Sethna, a 1987 <strong>Groveport</strong> Madison High School graduate,<br />
was appointed to The American Association of Airport Executives<br />
Board of Directors (AAAE). Founded in 1928, AAAE is the world’s<br />
largest professional organization representing individuals who<br />
work at public-use commercial and general aviation airports.<br />
