ABOUT THIS IS MY BRAVE
This Is My Brave works to erase stigma by offering a
spotlight to those who live bravely through mental
health challenges or substance use disorders. Our
flagship program, This Is My Brave - The Show, is a
stage production of individuals who share their stories
through poetry, song, essay, dance, or even stand-up
comedy performances.
To date, This Is My Brave has produced over 100 unique
live and virtual performances across the US featuring
just over 1,000 individuals from all walks of life.
In 2019, This Is My Brave sought to prioritize teen
mental health with College and High School Editions of
our show. The COVID-19 pandemic prompted the creation
Our “Turn to Talk” and virtual teen mental health
campaign options.
The mission of This Is My Brave is to empower
individuals to put their names and faces to their
personal stories of recovery in order to break down
stigma and offer hope to others.
Through storytelling, our participants increase their
own self-esteem and sense of self-worth while offering
others a fresh perspective on surviving and thriving
through mental health challenges. Our programs are lifechanging!
