BIENVENIDO | „El auténtico Mediterráneo“
Teulada Moraira: Un municipio donde se conserva el encanto
mediterráneo, con razón se dice el “auténtico Mediterráneo”
cuando se habla de uno de los municipios más bellos de la Costa
Blanca.
Teulada Moraira, al ser situado entre mar y montaña, disfruta de un
clima saludable con una temperatura media anual de 18 ºC.
Una totalidad de ocho kilómetros de playas, desde playas de arena
fina hasta calas de roca solitarias, todas señaladas con la bandera
azul y provista del sello de control de la Asociación Alemana de
Vigilancia Técnica de TÜV, justifican la expresión “El auténtico Mediterráneo”.
El pueblo pintoresco de Teulada se encuentra a unos 7 Km. tierra
adentro rodeado de viñedos, plantaciones de naranjas, bosques de
almendros y pinares. El pueblo de Moraira es muy conocido por sus
excelentes playas.
A muchos castillos y fortalezas, parques de ocio, de animales, cataratas
y otros destinos de excursión que merecen la pena, se puede
llegar cómodamente sin tener que soportar largos viajes.
Además, el Ayuntamiento ofrece numerosos cursos, estudios de
perfeccionamiento y viajes interesantes. Para más información sobre
cursos, contenidos y fechas de inicio, rogamos se dirija a la
Oficina de Turismo de Moraira o directamente al Ayuntamiento de

El municipio de Teulada Moraira ha sabido conservar las tradiciones

One of the most beautiful towns on the Costa Blanca is Teulada
Moraira. Nestling between the mountains and the sea,
the wonderful climate of this specific area boasts an average
yearly temperature of 18°C.
The coastline here is approximately 8 km long overall, with
fine sandy beaches and rocky coves. All the beaches are of
a sufficiently high standard to carry the prestigious Blue Flag
Award, so once again, it is easy to see where the expression
“Authentic Mediterranean” comes from.
As well as providing a diverse entertainment program, the mayor of
Teulada Moraira is keen to promote educational courses and visits.

in Moraira or the Ayuntamiento (Town Hall) in Teulada.
The picturesque town of Teulada lies about 7km inland and is
surrounded by vineyards, orange and almond groves and pine
trees. The neighbouring town of Moraira is known for its beautiful
beaches. The townsfolk of Teulada Moraira have long understood
the importance of combining historical tradition with a modern environment
for both inhabitants and visitors. Through Agenda 2030
and an exemplary environmental programme, these two towns
undoubtedly achieve this goal, as well as ensuring the continuing
welfare of the region itself.

The Giant Salt Sculpture is one of the most internationally acclaimed works by the artistic duo Coderch and
Malavia. This monumental bronze piece has toured different European capitals spreading its meaning. The
artists created the giant inspired by Fred Herrera‘s interpretation of Butoh dance, a Japanese dance that dates
back to the years after the Second World War
and reflects the resilience and strength of human
beings to be reborn after major catastrophes
such as the Hiroshima bomb. A message
with a direct connection to the pandemic years
after which the Giant becomes a symbol of the
strength of society.
Die Riesensalzskulptur ist eines der international
am meisten beachteten Werke des Künstlerduos
Coderch und Malavia.
Diese monumentale Bronzeskulptur ist durch
verschiedene europäische Hauptstädte gereist,
um ihre Bedeutung zu verbreiten.
Die Künstler ließen sich bei der Gestaltung des

zu einem Symbol für die Stärke der Gesellschaft wurde.

con más proyección internacional del dúo
artístico, Coderch y Malavia.
Esta pieza monumental de bronce ha recorrido
diferentes capitales europeas difundiendo
su significado.
Los artistas crearon el gigante inspirados por

EL HUMEDAL
“LA MARJAL DEL SENILLAR”
El “humedal costero del Senillar” se encuentra
justo detrás de la playa de L´Ampolla.
Comprende 0,76 ha y se compone de una serie
de lagunas separadas del mar por una barrera de
arena – playa de l‘Ampolla – y que solo se desagüan
en la playa a través de un estrecho caudal.
Es una de las desembocaduras naturales de la
cuenca del Barranc de les Sorts, cuyas aguas
subterráneas salen a la superficie durante todo el
año.
En el año 2002, el Ayuntamiento de Teulada-Moraira
reconstruyó el terreno y lo devolvió a su
estado original.
Hoy en día, en la ribera del humedal hay fauna
como juncos o el senill, al que debe su nombre;
la enea y el taray. En las dunas crecen cardos
marianos, hinojo marino, lirios de mar y la común
Ammophila.
El humedal alberga muchas especies animales:
la gallineta común, el ánade azulón, el carricero
común (aves), la rana común, el sapo común,
la culebra viperina (anfibios y reptiles), las lisas
(Mugilidae) y las anguilas (peces) y las Atyaephyra
desmaresti (gambas de río).
La Marjal del Senillar fue declarada RESERVA DE
FAUNA SILVESTRE por el Ministerio de Medio
Ambiente en el año 2004, dado que alberga, entre
otros, una especie en peligro de extinción, el fartet
(Aphnus iberus).

“LA MARJAL DEL SENILLAR”
WETLAND
The Senillar Coastal Wetland is located directly
behind L’Ampolla beach.
It covers 0.76 ha consisting of a series of lagoons
which are separated from the sea by a sand
barrier – L’Ampolla beach – and are only drained
through a narrow outlet to the beach.
It is one of the natural estuaries of the Barranc de
les Sorts basin, with groundwater the whole year
round.
In 2002 the area was restored by the council and
returned to its original state.
Today, plant species such as reeds, or senil -
which give the area its name – bulrushes and tamarisk
can be found on the shores of the wetland.
Growing in the dunes are milk thistle, sea fennel,
sea lilies and the usual beach grass.
The wetland hosts many species of animal: moorhen,
mallard duck, reed warbler (birds); Iberian
water frog, common toad, viperine snake (amphibians
and reptiles); Liza – a type of mullet - and
eels (fish); and Athyephyra desmaresti (freshwater
shrimp).
The Senillar Coastal Wetland was designated as a
WILDLIFE RESERVE by the Ministry for Environmental
Protection in 2004, because among other
species it hosts an endangered type of fish, the
Spanish toothcarp (Aphanius iberus).

„LA MARJAL DEL SENILLAR“
Das „Küstenfeuchtgebiet von Senillar“ befindet
sich unmittelbar hinter dem Strand L´Ampolla.
Es umfasst 0,76 ha und besteht aus einer Reihe
von Lagunen, die durch einen Sandstreifen - dem
Strand l´Ampolla – vom Meer getrennt sind und
nur durch einen schmalen Abfluss zum Strand
entwässert werden.
Es ist eine der natürlichen Mündungen des Flussbeckens
Barranc de les Sorts, dessen Grundwasser
hier ganzjährig zu Tage tritt.
Im Jahr 2002 wurde das Gebiet von der Gemeinde
rekonstruiert und in seinen Ursprungszustand
versetzt.
Heute sind in der Uferlandschaft des Feuchtgebiets
Pflanzenarten wie Binsen oder Senil, dem es
seinen Namen verdankt, der Rohrkolben und die
Tamariske zu finden. In den Dünen wachsen Mariendisteln,
Meerfenchel, Seelilien und der gewöhnlichen
Strandhafer.
Das Feuchtgebiet beherbergt viele Tierarten: die
Teichralle, die Stockente, der Teichrohrsänger
(Vögel), der Iberische Wasserfrosch, die Erdkröte,
die Vipernatter (Amphibien und Kriechtiere), Liza

is exhibited; even an entire bedroom from past

Castell Moraira
La fortaleza que se encuentra en una colina rocosa en la
playa de l’Ampolla en Moraira, fue construida en el siglo
XVIII. Encima del portal de entrada está el escudo real
de los Borbones con fecha del año 1742, que posiblemente
era el año de conclusión de las obras. El Castillo
se construyó para protegerse de los ataques perpetrados
por los piratas berberiscos.
This fortress, which stands on a rocky hill at l‘Ampolla
beach in Moraira, was built in the 18th Century. Over the
entrance hangs the royal coat of arms of the Bourbons.
The date of 1742 which is shown on the arms probably
indicates the year of completion of the construction
work. The Castell was built as a means of protection
against attacks by Berber pirates.
Die Festung, die sich auf einer felsigen Anhöhe am
Strand von l´Ampolla in Moraira befindet, wurde im XVIII.
Jahrhundert erbaut. Über dem Eingangstor hängt das
königliche Wappen der Bourbonen, datiert auf das Jahr
1742, möglicherweise das Jahr der Beendigung der
Bauarbeiten. Das Castell wurde zum Schutz gegen die

Ermita de Font Santa dedicada a San Vicente Ferrer.

die Wallfahrtskapelle der Font Santa, die dem heiligen
Vinzenz Ferrer gewidmet ist.
Ermita de Sant Vicent Ferrer
La Ermita Sant Vicent Ferrer se construyó durante la segunda
mitad del siglo XVIII, en 1767 y durante los años
siguientes. Es un edificio de piedra arenisca con una
cúpula singular hecha de tejas de colores azules, verdes
y blancos, que destacan especialmente del blanco inmaculado
de la Ermita.
Hermitage Chapel of Saint Vicent Ferrer
This chapel was constructed in the second half of the
18th Century, from 1767 onwards. The dome is characterised
by a combination of multicoloured roofing tiles
(blue, green and white), which contrast wonderfully with
the plain whiteness of the chapel.

Wallfahrtskapelle Sant Vicent Ferrer
In der zweiten Hälfte des XVIII. Jahrhunderts, 1767, und
den darauffolgenden Jahren wurde die Wallfahrtskapelle
„Ermita Sant Vicent Ferrer“ erbaut. Es ist ein Bauwerk
aus Sandstein mit einer bezeichnenden Kuppel aus einer
Kombination von bunten Dachziegeln (blau, grün, weiß),
die sich von dem makellosen Weiß der Wallfahrtskapelle
besonders hervorheben.

El embalse del Amadorio se encuentra situado entre los municipios
de Villajoyosa y Orcheta, en la provincia de Alicante. Los
cuatro kilómetros de distancia en línea recta que le separan del mar,
lo hacen el segundo más cercano al mar de toda España.​
Se construyó en el año 1957 a lo largo del cauce del río Amadorio
sobre una superficie de 103 hectáreas y con una capacidad máxima
de 15,8 hm³. Tiene una presa de gravedad de 63 m de altura y 318
m de longitud de coronación, con aliviadero de compuertas de 400

ruta es lineal y apta para toda la familia. Como curiosidad,
en algún punto de la ruta entre la Cala Les Bassetes
y la Cala La Fustera encontrarás los restos de una
antigua cantera de extracción de piedra tosca con la
que se construyeron varios edificios de la localidad en
el siglo XVI. Y, además, a lo largo del camino hay varias
calas que cuentan con espacios de hostelería, donde
podrás tomar algún refresco o comer.

Ecological Coastal path Benissa
On the Benissa-Calpe Ecological Promenade you can
enjoy five and a half kilometers of coastline with steep
cliffs and small coves invaded by pine trees.
The best of all is that you can walk this walk throughout
the year thanks to its magnificent climate.
Throughout the walk, you’ll see a series of information
panels that will tell you about the culture, history and
plant life in the area. The route is linear and suitable
for all the family. Between Les Bassetes cove and La
Fustera cove, you’ll find the remains of an old limestone
quarry whose extracts were used to build different
buildings in the 16th century.
You will also find bars and restaurants in the different
coves where you can quench your thirst or have something
to eat after enjoying a dip in the crystalline
waters.

Ökologischer Küstenwanderweg
Auf dem Ökologischen Wanderweg von Benissa-Calpe
können Sie bis zu 5,5 Kilometer Küste mit steilen Klippen
und kleinen, von Pinien bewachsenen Buchten erkunden.
Das Beste an dieser Wanderung ist, dass man
sie dank des herrlichen Klimas das ganze Jahr über machen
kann. Entlang des Weges gibt es eine Reihe von
Informationstafeln, die kulturelle und historische Aspekte
oder die Fauna und Flora der Gegend beschreiben.
Eine zusätzliche Besonderheit: auf der Strecke zwischen
der Bucht Les Bassetes und der Bucht La Fustera finden
Sie die Überreste eines alten Steinbruchs. Hier wurde
damals Rohstein abgebaut und im 16. Jahrhundert wurden
mehrere lokale Gebäude errichtet. Darüber hinaus
gibt es entlang des Weges mehrere Buchten mit Restaurants,
um etwas zu trinken oder essen.
