Turkish Centenary Festival
I was honoured to attend the Turkish Centenary Festival which took place across
two days at Auburn Gallipoli Mosque. The festival was a vibrant celebration of 100
years of Turkish cultural heritage, achievements and stories. There was something for
everyone, including a traditional bazaar, food stalls, an ice cream truck, activities and
virtual reality experiences.
Candlelight Vigil
I was privileged to be invited by the
Parramatta Cumberland Domestic
Violence Prevention Committee to
attend the Candlelight Vigil on Thursday
23 May at Parramatta Centenary
Square. The escalation in domestic
violence-related fatalities among women
necessitates our collective action. We
aim to stand together as a community
and declare: Enough is Enough. Together, we can make a significant impact by
supporting this cause and demonstrating our shared commitment to combating
domestic violence. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic or family
violence, please contact 1800 RESPECT (1800 737 732).
