IT Administrator
NIPCO currently has a full time opening in their Technology &
Infrastructure team. This is a fast paced position responsible for
much of the IT & Operations for an electric utility. The candidate
will have knowledge, training and/or experience in computers,
networks and related devices.
Duties include configure, monitor, manage and secure servers,
workstations, tablets with Windows, Linux. iOS and Android operating
systems by installing, configuring, patching, upgrading,
replacing OS and installed applications. Knowledge of Microsoft
technologies including Microsoft 365, Active Directory,
Group Policy, Office, Microsoft SQL and web based applications.
Also, knowledge of networking technologies such as
routers, switches, VLAN, SD-WAN, BGP, and VPN. Configure,
monitor, manage, and secure security systems such as firewalls,
Intrusion Prevention/Detection Systems, antivirus/malware,
and SIEMs. Assist in configuration, management and
operations of workstations, printers, etc., including helpdesk
assistance.

SCHOOL FACILITY PLANNING
COMMUNITY SURVEY
The Le Mars Community School District is working on a plan
to address our aging facilities and capacity challenges. As our
community grows, we are experiencing space shortages in our
elementary schools. As a result, we are in need of additional
classrooms and support spaces. The District has considered
multiple options for how best to invest in our facilities to meet
the needs of our students today and in the years to come. Before
finalizing the plan, we are conducting a community-wide survey
to allow all residents to have a voice in this important process.

INTERNSHIP
The Le Mars Sentinel has an opening for a paid, full-time summer
intern in its newsroom. This is hands-on, on-the-ground 40-hoursper-week
position, available mid-May through mid-August, working
out of our office in Le Mars, Iowa.
The applicant will be responsible for reporting on a range of topics,
from hard news to features to sports as well as taking photographs to accompany those stories.
This is an opportunity to gain experience while working with a veteran news team and for
publications that have received numerous state and national journalism awards.
