For as long as he can remember, Randy<br />

My name is Jennifer Tommasini, the owner/director of The Gift<br />
of Kids Daycare and Preschool. I’ve lived in El Dorado Hills for<br />
over 20 years and I have four children.<br />
My journey into the childcare field began in 1999 when I was left<br />
disappointed in my search for ”the right” childcare for my son.<br />
After going through many programs and with my daughter on<br />
the way (now working with Gift of Kids), I began to reflect upon<br />
my family’s needs. It was then that I changed my career focus<br />
and ventured into childcare. My mission is to provide a nurturing,<br />
loving, safe and educational environment for every child.<br />
In September 2000, I opened my home to three newborns, two<br />
2-year-olds and a 3-year-old. I immediately knew that this was<br />
my calling. Everything felt so natural. I went back to school<br />
full time for early childhood education and started my own<br />
preschool program that incorporated home-cooked meals,<br />
planned outings, and practiced an advanced curriculum with<br />
structured activities that fostered learning.<br />
In 2007 I opened a small pre-school with 60 families while<br />
continuing my in-home daycare. In 2010 I expanded again,<br />
bringing my preschool and in home-daycare under one roof—<br />
The Gift of Kids and Preschool is now located off Latrobe<br />
Road in Business Park 1. It has been a dream to serve so many<br />
children and give families the satisfaction I never felt when my<br />
son was in daycare. I pride myself on offering a safe place for<br />
families to bring their children.<br />
We currently partner with programs that ensure best practices<br />
and work with local colleges when students need on site<br />
courses.<br />
The Gift of Kids currently has 35 wonderful, loving,<br />
professional teachers and over 200 children. We provide care<br />
for infants, preschoolers and private kindergarten. Although<br />
the size seems large, the classrooms have a homey feel where<br />
the teachers truly care about each child’s development. We<br />
work together on communicating with parents and developing<br />
each child’s individual needs. It delights me that so many<br />
children have the opportunity to experience our program.<br />
