The Summer Festival
at The Menuhin Hall, Cobham will
return for a week-long celebration of beautiful
music from Saturday 29 June until Friday 5 July.. A diverse
programme awaits, featuring performances by the extraordinarily
talented pupils of the Yehudi Menuhin School, as well as renowned
artists such as Julian Bliss, who will explore the boundaries between
jazz and classical music. Family Day will feature a performance
of The Planets enhanced by lighting and projections, with
outdoor fun for children. Not to be missed is the
Finale, a memorable night of film music.

BRIGHT LIGHT
McAllister Thomas Fine Art presents a solo
exhibition by British artist Rose Fulbright
at their Godalming gallery from 22 June,
featuring works on silk and antique furniture.
For ‘Light and Water’, Rose’s aim is to convey
the luxurious, slow flow of time in nature,
combined with a sense of freedom and awe in
the sublime. She has focused on two opposing,
yet intricately connected, parts of the human
experience – huge, spacious skies with their
celestial bodies, and the sea with its tides.
Rose says, ”I aim to create rhythmic, energising
depictions of the awe-inspiring moments I
find myself in, mostly while travelling with my
young family. I am interested in remembering
the preciousness of the vitality, freedom and
awe that we all feel when outside.”
